For me, it's an accurate reflection of the downfall of capitalism. I absolutely LOVE to stroll downtown these days, like a breath of fresh air! Imagining what these opulent buildings will transformed into: housing for the poor and homeless and many small, local businesses including local artists and entertainment on the cheap...friendly coffeehouses (good riddance Starbucks). With the Native Peoples playing THE major role in reclaiming the Bay Area in this remarkable turnaround. Dare I dream such a hopeful dream? I do, and I've resided in this city since 1973.

Well, at least the crowd is small and the wait is short. Last time I was in SF, it was 2018. I used to fly to CA a lot due to me owning a tech company. I got mugged on that sunny, Autumn day when I got off of BART on Embarcadero. I got 30 stitches on my head. Glad to see some shops are still open. At least Ghirardelli lines are much shorter, good thing. Short wait.
