No bevel. This would not pass a 180 degree destructive bend test.

First weld vid I've seen with beveled plates and base gap. Good Job. Most of the "pro" welder utubers don't bevel and base gap their work. Now make some coupons and show people how a 180 degree bend test looks like.

Well, after you bevel it it's no longer rusty metal, and that weld looks like hammered dog shit.

There are many fine welders around. Not everybody is dumb as you portray like your the mother of all welders!

Why use 6010 or 6011 deep penetrating rod for your root pass and then go to your 6013 or better 7018?

Nothing wrong with the weld other than its crooked as hell. No undercut. Its actually a decent weld cobsidering the conditions. Work on your control. And give it a pause at the top.

very bad weld. and if you are welding a part like this why not set it up in the flat position. looks to hot to me burned through the end of the pipe and excessive amounts of undercut on the top toe

Look at the undercut at the top of the weld for gods sake. If you're going to do a video learn to weld first.

Wrong rod dude. E309 is the correct rod for welding dissimilar materials, stainless to carbon.

Your right very few welders know how to weld that poorly. Low penetration, trapped slag and really only 50 amps.
