I often wear nice flowy dresses or skirts. but it only takes a gust of wind and my dress or skirt starts blowing up high like marilyn Monroe which can be very embarrassing if Im are not quick enough with my hands to hold it down. Wind is not a good friend to most of my outfits unfortunately, But Thank goodness for slips which have protected my modesty on many occasions on those windy days xxx 🌬🌬🌬👗👗

That was beautifully done and looked really lovely on you but please would you consider changing out those buttons for some beautiful grey ones. I often use furnishing fabric for clothes and your pattern placement on the printed material was absolutely perfect.

Terrific job! May I suggest a video on those downloadable patterns and how to print them out, tape them together and figure out which size to cut. I would love to do this dress but feel intimidated by the downloadable pattern.

Love this! I’ve done a few like this myself, but I’m curious, how tall are you? Whenever I’ve done this I find that sometimes the skirt is a little too short in the back and I’m only 5 feet tall. Maybe it’s the size of my rear - lol! But just wondering if this was a very large circular tablecloth or not.

New sub here! This was fun to watch. I might give this pattern a try with woven as well, but I also want to make the sleeves a little longer, maybe to the wrist or 3/4. 😊

I could never have done what you did without my year in a dressmakers studio. There, I also learned: after sewing you press every seam. With the kind of skirt you have sewn, I’d have pressed the centre seams open and serged each edge separately to give the material more flow. With the waistband you could try to put the excess bit go under and have the top flush with the edge of the centre.

You look great in your creation.
