Somelier-Italiano 1300 to 1889 was administered from Zanzibar as past if the Sawaxili coast. The main language there was Sawaxili. In that period Somali speakers were only traders and did not consider the Sawaxili coast territories as part of their land. After WW2 Britain wanted to acquire the Itsluab colony of "Somelier", as it was undef British military control so Britain renamed the colony "Italian-Somaliland". The idea proposed by Britain is that a pan-Somali protectorate was in the interest of all. Unfortunately this strategy intitled the Somali minority in Somelier-Italiano and those in British Somaliland to acfeot tge strategy. The effort if the USA and other contenders made it imposdible for Britaun to acquire Somelier-Italiano however the concept of pan-Somalism persisted and so did the name " Italian- Somaliland". The Sawaxili people were marginalised and a large number of them relocated to Sawaxili dpeaking colonies likd British East Africa now Kenta, Tanzania anx Uganda. In Somelier the Somali speakers who currently number 50% were educated and empowered. By 1960 during the decade of African independence British educated Somalis spearheaded the Union sentiments without understanding the legal genetic, cultural, political or historical distinctions of the two sovereign states. The two new coubtries each drewuo an act of Union, however they could not even get this approved and tge whole Union to this day is legitimised only by international acknowledgement, not legal or moral claims. Question is what does the international community gain from propagating an illegitimate and fake union that did not even take place? Is this a case of international racism? Stupid africans who cares if the squable? Is there money to be made?
