Child neglect purposely leaving a child's hair knotted and matted like that.. My daughter is rican and black indian mixed and was tender headed, and she got hair done regardless. It takes patience.. But leaving your daughter's hair undone to built up and become more tangled is totally abusive. Yet your hair is done. 😤 You wonder why she wants her hair like yours???, because you comb yours EVERYDAY!!! Laziness (not depression) is not motherly especially with girls with curly long hair #smdh

If you were her mom, she would be spilling down the chair crying a river. My Aunt used to gently tap my hand, which hushed me for the duration. lol

As an adult I couldn't put up with having my hair done like that.

Yip I inherited the tender scalp from my mom side but I don't detangle with wet head, water weakens hair and it stretches and snaps, what don't break comes out frizzy. Please check your shampoo, conditioner, lotion and deodorant make sure it not on toxic list even non African products are swimming in cancer causing chemicals.

Your hair is beautiful. Try shea butter stick for your elbows. I use my facial clay under my arms sometimes.

My daughters hair mats up like this instantly when it dries even after I condition and moisturize. She’s also super tender headed 😢 the struggle is so real. I’m trying everything.

The ends have dreaded and it's a constant reminder of my depression and exacerbates it. I'm finally ready to try to detangle his hair. Just pray for my mental health y'all please. 😢❤ Update: I did it y'all! Last month I sat down and detangled his hair. It took 3 days but he now has two strand twists and looking very handsome! ❤️ He didn't lose much length or hair and it turned out great!

I have 3c and 3a hair but this helped me so much, even three years later. I have a huge tangle in my hair that isnt getting out and its so matted to the point I cannot comb through it even with water. Im not sure what to do because I cannot cut it off since its in the middle of my hair. But it is tugging on my scalp and pulling harshly which is giving me so much headaches. 😭

You can try to add some conditioner to a spray bottle of water if you don't have any detangler. At least, I can. I'm sure it wouldn't work for everyone.

I’m a 46 yr old stylist and I feel just like her. I’ve always hated detangling my curls. You taught me something by pulling at it with my fingers first! Made my torture much faster. I also have tried every comb or brush ever made. Fellow stylists recommended afro brushes via Amazon & they make the process so much less painful. They’re very inexpensive too. ❤️

My son 9yrs and daughter 4 years old defo have sensitive head and can take 2 or more hours when I do proper full pampering of the hair but when I'm doing thier hair they use that time to open up to me chat watch favourite program on tablet and lots of snacks whatever they want they get just so they see it as enjoyable time with mum
