So basically the windshield is 35% the two front windows 5% and the back half you have 0% since you put 5% over the factory 20% have the same set up I also have the visor tinted to go along with the tinted windshield

Most tint over 20% is the tint that eventually turns purple in the sun. Besides being illegal. And dangerous.

What’s the darkest you can go in California without sparking the cops attention at all? And without losing any visibility at night I probably do 70% driving at night. But it gets easy 120 here in the summer and sick of cooking like a fried egg every time I get in my suv. Thanks in advance Have a great day everyone!

I used to thinks blackout window tint was cool but found quality 20% blocks plenty heat and blocks people seeing right in but more importantly I can see out my window at night not having to roll them down

I got 5% all the way around and 35% windshield and I love it! When it gets warmer I’m gonna try out 20% on the shield. If I don’t like it then I’ll just go back to 35%. I do have to roll down my window at night whenever I turn left lol 😂 Now if I NEVER drove at night, I’d totally go with 5% on the windshield too but nah

I did 5% all around (including windshield) it’s so damn hard to see at night out the windshield even with the windows rolled down and it’s imposible in the rain.

Hey man can you see good with 5% over 20%? I got 5% it’s pretty dark but not how I expected. Specially the back window you can see through the windshield during the day & night.

I feel like it’s my OBLIGATION now to speak on it, and I can finally say it. If you’re fighting yourself over 15% vs 5%… GO WITH 5%. And I have two solid reasons to back this… 1.) If you go for a drive and consciously try to look for dark tint on front windows, you’ll see them all day.. 2.) As far as night driving goes, if you’ve ever driven with your windows fogged up or iced over and didn’t care. Then it’s the exact same. Get the 5%.

I wish our public servants wouldn’t use something like this as legal justification to initiate traffic stops. Unless someone victimizes another human being, albeit their person and/or property, anyone should have the right to tint their car like this. “But safety!” Like I said, if they harm someone or their property solely due to tint, they don’t get to have tint anymore. But you don’t just automatically make it illegal for everyone just because clumsy careless people exist. It’s not right. The majority of us are responsible law abiding citizens. It’s absurd that I can’t tint my windows like this.
