Omg, you're right about them flying onto the air temple with fire!! For some reason my brain was like, "oh, its just them catapulting flaming rocks or something". I forgot they could do that stuff during Sozin's comet!! Gosh, I need to rewatch the show. It's been years.
I actually had the same thought for a moment but what made me realise was it reminded me of the Iron Man 3 scenes with all of Tony's suits flying around and my brain twigged to it! I just started rewatching the series again in preperation for the new series and I trying to contain my excitement but then i watched the episode with king bumi and realised we will be getting a live action Bumi too and now im hyped!
The kid in M Night Shyamalan's version didn't play Aang, he played Ong.

I've only ever heard of it called a compass rose, so when it was talking about a windrose i was thinking of something like a weather vane, i also felt stupid in that moment :P
