Now i to am trained in the jedi arts
"Brave, but foolish, my old Jedi friend. You are impossibly outnumbered."
Only Christopher Lee could refuse to say his lines and STILL be employed for the role. GOAT!
Christopher is actually very competent with a rapier and sabre. Whoever taught him how to employ the Main Gauche did a great job.
Rest in Peace, great wizard Saruman...
That a freemason symbol next to an evil eye?
They don't make actors like this anymore
The 'D' on the ring stands for 'Dracula'.
damn he was here in transylvania
The most interesting man in the world.
The difference between actors that have felt the fear of being in an actual fight, even if it was only ever a fist fight, and the ones who have never even dreampt of getring in a fight for any reason. 😅
1:14 when I talk about my kawk to my wife
Wow! A German potato masher behind him on his table!
Sir Christopher Lee was the real deal in life. A WWII SAS Officer, Spy, and Assassin, a Modern Weapons Master, a skilled and accomplished Swordsman, and so much more. Not only was he a serious actor, but was extremely self depreciating and was supposedly to have a wicked sense of humor and would pull practical jokes with an Alfred Pennyworth dry humor. A true consummate professional. Also, and let's not forget, he was and will always be the Lord of the Vampires... Vlad Dracula.
The order of the dragon ring?
qualcosa di superiore <3
I have fond memories of both 'Dracula, Prince of Darkness' and the 1979 Frank Langella 'Dracula' as I had both on VHS when I was growing up and rewatched them constantly. They're both a bit forgotten now, but I still think they're underrated Dracula adaptations.
From watching the very first movie of his, Christopher Lee remains someone I’ve always looked up too.
Good call from him. Hammer was all about style, not substance.
Absolutely right. You'll get big forearms using a rapier.
This is just another brick in the wall... Let's see how this plays out because i've been to India and those people... no. Just no.
this is a Bob Ross video
Damn!!😮
Seriously, a man who packed more incredible experiences -- to include actor, musician, and covert WWII warrior to name but a few -- into his long life than over a dozen men put together. Not only that, but he was an amazingly good person in the bargain, who never gave up his values. RIP, Sir Christopher Lee.
I love his voice, I could listen to that all day
Christopher lee truly was the single most badass human being ever
No wonder his lightsaber fights were so good!
Respect for Christopher Lee who respected the authors and the source material. Rare these days of woke shite.
Dracula, Scaramanga, Saruman , Count Dooku,
Very definition of a Renaissance man.
In other words, George you can write this shit but you can’t say it.
Ironic, the actor who played the Prince of Darkness made the world a brighter place when he was alive, and it only got darker once he passed away. A gentleman, a thespian, a scholar, and I miss him.
AND a war hero.
Acting is like sex - one has to lose oneself in the process of cunning linguistics.
"This ring, is a ring from a famous Dark Lord in Mordor" - Christopher Saruman Lee
Three and Four Musketeers, my favorite sword movies.
Would have loved to see him in the Highlander series!
A gentleman and a scholar, RIP giant
The way he tosses the scabbard aside as he starts showing it off, how he wields the sword, his voice… god this man was so classy.
What a class. Incredible actor. A nobleman by manners with breathtaking eloquence and charisma. The world misses such marvelous people.
boomer robinswords is pretty cool, he should do a movie
Also remember that this man has more likely than not actually killed a man with a blade, he was attached to a special forces group during the Second World War
It's like Peter Jackson saying the closer they stayed to Tolkien, the better the script got.
so sophisitccated
This dude was the main character while he was alive
The painting behind Mr Lee is "Calling the Roll After An Engagement, Crimea", or more simply "The Roll Call", by Lady Butler.
Why doesn't this have more views?
*Count Dooku training a youngling*
This is the number one criticism of Star Wars saber fights... The combatants never actually put themselves in range to hurt their opponents (it removes the honesty of proper movement from the combat, it makes it look kind of silly instead). Bruce Lee himself mentioned this, and part of what people love about his movies is that people actually did get hurt in his movies... not because that was the intended goal, but because in order to make it look as real as possible the slightest mistake which was bound to happen would then take the action from looking real to being real. None of that "This is where you fall down." crap.
I've wondered for YEARS why he did not talk in that movie, and very little in the others. I hated that and the movies as well, but finally knowing the reason behind it makes it all the stranger lol. Thanks for sharing this info!
A director once told him to imagine the sound of someone being stabbed. To which Sir Lee replied, "I don't have to."
