Song of the South (U.S. NTSC VHS) Opening. #zipadeedoodah #disney #songofthesouth

Here is something that should not exist, but does a U.S. VHS copy of the Disney film Song of the South. I bought this off of Ebay and the seller told me how they think this and other copies they had were something Disney gave to Employees. The seller is based out of Southern California and told me they buy copies whenever they come across them. Enjoy

This is something i’ve wanted to do for a while now and finally made it around to it. This was a good song when they were not doing the “see me hear me” parts. So I edited those out to have the good stuff flow together by Jack Nicholson. Hopefully the copyright will not be too harsh and block or remove the video. I am not gaining any sort of monetary value from the posting of this video or the ...
Let’s Go Fly A Kite- Complete Version (full song, with end credits finale).

I had previously uploaded a nearly complete version of Let’s Go Fly a Kite from Mary Poppins to UA-cam because of the uploader Ricky Doodlebug and today they uploaded isolated score versions of music throughout the film so after some time of editing this afternoon and dragging of audio from clips I was able to put three more sections of music back into the song. If you would please go check out...

Since the audio isn’t as strong in the footage version I remembered the full lyrics are in t...

This is the full introduction by one half of the legendary Stop-Motion team Rankin-Bass. In this video he gives information regarding the holiday classic both in the film and some behind the scenes information as well. 『メリーポピンズ』では地味めな歌ですが、この素晴らしい映画を締め括るのにふさわしい素敵な歌❗️😉
Red eyes? Dark Wings? You're just trying to make it sound worse than it was. Could you tell them the full truth, like his wings were pink? Otherwise, why not just claim that the Hulk attacked you?

The Beer Orgy scene!
The stroll was hot lol know it was big lmfao
@@tonezchannel1711 Would you please give context as to what this is in reference to in the video?
Lampie was horrified by Elliott completely!.
Nora acts more like the parent and Lampie acts like the child.
@@DestinyRogers-mt6vq I would tend to disagree. He freaked out tried to warn everyone and she is just more levelheaded than him.
I had this song on one of those little 45 records. I remember listening to that thing so much.
Behind the scenes
@@jakewhittle444 There is a mini documentary you can check out regarding the film that is on the DVD, but if you are looking for any from me, sorry to say I have none.
Good Job. 👏🏼
@@TroublesomeSlateTruck Thank you.
Look how badly you could just casually wreck a bar in Passamaquoddy.
Be Kind, Rewind. Those were the days.
This was the Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall. I was twelve but I remember it so well. Now it blows my mind to think that Mickey Rooney was a year younger than I am now! Where did the time go?
2:48
dang. This was awesome. I really wish they had those deleted scenes in the theatrical version of this film.
I completely forgot how crazy this movie was as a kid. Coming back, I still love every bit of it.
@@Mr.Stricken There is some great musical numbers in this film besides this sequence. My favorites are: "It's Not Easy", "Pasamaquaddy", "Candle on the Water", "Money by the Pound", "Brazzle Dazzle Day", "Bill of Sale", "Happiest Home in These Hills" is decent. I will say though I like how there is four villain songs in one film. That one, Passamaquaddy, Money by the Pound and Bill of Sale. The only song I feel could be cut and not miss anything is "There's Room For Everyone". That is the only one I feel slows things down.
@@disneyknowledge9432 I have great memories of hiding behind my mom at the very start of the movie when the evil family pops out of the forest. Now, it’s one of my favorite songs: “He went that-a-way!” “He went this-a-way!” Some absolute great acting.
@@Mr.Stricken Yeah when I first saw the film growing up that part freaked me out as well.
If any Disney movie deserves a sequel or a broadway musical, it’s this one
@@lordofthegames6601 I remember seeing a webpage in the mid-2000's that listed a whole bunch of upcoming films that I'm not sure if they were real things planned or just a fan website. It listed things like an AristoCats 2, a Pete's Dragon 2, the Missing Mickey film and a bunch of other stuff that never ended up being made. A broadway show would be interesting. Though I am not sure how they would do Elliot on stage.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@dougearnest7590 Relax. None of that ended up happening and the trend for Disney Remakes (fingers crossed) is drawing to a close. Plus it helps they kicked out Sean Bailey the guy in charge of the remakes earlier this year.

Looks like this might be a small town. When Nora asked the customers "Has anyone seen my dad?", all of them pointed to him. All of them knew that those 2 were father & daughter.
@gelnnm.garcia6964 Maybe the whole neighborhood knew them and knew they were the lighthouse owners which is why they all pointed to Lampie after she said "has anyone seen my dad?"
I just got this from Ebay yesterday
Thanks I've been trying to find this scene for over a decade lol
You’re welcome. I’m glad that I could help.
I guess there never was a dragon. Let us now destroy a person's entire livelihood in order to highlight this point.
I never knew there was parts of the song cut out. This was the best scene in the movie.
Great show. Great theme tune. Rest in peace, Dabney Coleman.
And RIP to Jason Davis. Principal Prickly and Mikey are both in heaven rn.
Too bad it was released around the same time as Star Wars. Should have been a hit. Film is an absolute gem.
2:45-49 Lampie's reaction to the horse cracks me up! :D
At least someone got to hold her even though it wasn't Lena's two sons who didn't get to Even though they wanted to.
Fair enough.
@johnsheehan7215 Well, Lena's husband then wanted to hold her which made Lena jealous saying "if you are going to hold her like my two boys want to hold her, you're going to be holding your head" like she was saying "you're married to me and you hold me and nobody else."
This song and movie made me fall in love with Mickey Rooney when I was a child and he remains my #1 all time actor. He really was one of the greatest of the greatest of the greatest.
This film was my introduction to him as well.
@@disneyknowledge9432 For me, it was either this, or The Black Stallion. I can't remember which one I saw first as a child. Either way, I will still always see him as the greatest of the greatest.
This was the first movie I saw in which Mickey Rooney appeared on-screen. Technically, the first movie I saw that featured him was "The Fox and the Hound" but in that he was only voicing grown-up Tod. He was truly one of the acting greats, from early roles in movies like "National Velvet" to "Night at the Museum" when he was well past retirement age.
@@DamonNomad82 He acted his entire life since he was 18 months old. He practically was in 3 to 5 movies to tv shows nearly every year for 93 three years straight. You should look for the movies he did in his teen years with his co star Judy Garland. They're some of my favorites of his.
Oh, this takes me back. Don't make em like they used to.
Last night, I rewatched this film for the first time in nearly twenty years. It brought me back to my childhood days.
Aw, that's nice.
RIP Mickey Rooney 1920-2014 and Helen Reddy 1941-2020
The only ones left alive of the core cast as far as I know are Jim Dale and Pete himself Sean Marshall.
This song comes into my head whenever I see dragons in movies or shows since it was burned into my head in childhood ; ). Mickey Rooney was really giving it his all, as well as all the rest. Very enjoyable. Good to see the excerpts.
I uploaded the outtake initially. Thank you for putting this back together so I didn’t have to. Even though it is not 100% perfect at least it gives you an example of what Disney has been holding back on us for all these years. Rex Harrison won an Oscar and a Tony for basically doing what is basically the prototype of rap, but when Helen Reddy does it, they cut it out but Red Buttons screaming they have no problem with? This is why I have pointed out how Disney has played favorites with its history of the mixing of Live action and animation, and baby boomer cultural hegemony plays a huge part in it. Let those who grew up with the Disney of Generation X have their Brazzle dazzle day in the sun!
Well, thank you for uploading it. I never knew about the scene until I saw it from you. I’m glad I was able to finish what you brought to light.
@@disneyknowledge9432 Disney is weird about this. Between 1967 and 1977, they made some of the greatest movie musicals of all time, and they had no idea what to do with them in an era when rock 'n' roll was the dominant genre. If anything, Nora is what I expected a child of Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney to look like more than Liza Minnelli, if you want me to be perfectly honest. No disrespect to Liza intended, of course.
@@Attmay Well, this was the height of the “What Would Walt Have Done? Era” where those in control of the company rather than come up with new and different ideas they stuck with what they knew and what worked rather than moving forward. While there were good ones like Robin Hood and Bedknobs and Broomsticks, it was mostly safe family friendly matinee type flicks giving work to character actors nobody would really hire.
@@disneyknowledge9432 they still have trouble attracting top talent if Tim Burton doesn't want to work there anymore, and he started his career there.
@@disneyknowledge9432 And thank goodness for that. Love those character actors!
Lampie doesn't get to much credit for this part of his character which is how protective he is of his family even though he's scared to death after seeing Elliot he pulls Nora in the tavern so she'd be safe from the dragon he saw and later tried to wave of the gogans when they tried to take Pete during bill of sale even though he didn't say anything
I have the full TV Recording of all 3 movies!
Cool.
Reaction seeing a dragon 😂😂😂😂😂
Lampy - I saw a dragon he’s literally satan and he ate a baby true story Eliot - it ain’t easy being green… hey I need to go help some kids escape domestic abuse I’ll be back tonight and make an apple pie! We can play scrabble!!! See ya!!!
The good lord part is in the soundtrack and it is my favorite part
Thank You
You're welcome
He is just a cook and a loon
I love this movie and I love this song
Great underrated Disney film and musical especially when the genre was basically dead at this point in time.
I’ll bet they had a blast making this!
Nora is so brave she didn't get that from her father
Lampie may not be as brave as Nora but he doesn't get enough credit for moments where he's protective of his family such as pulling Nora in the tavern so she'll be safe from the dragon he saw and even though he stays quiet he's shown trying to wave the gogans off during bill of sale when they come to take Pete back
@user-eg7xi4mo1x Maybe she inherited being brave from her mother who must have passed away since her mother was never seen while her father is scared.
Helen Reddy could belt out a damn catchy tune! ❤❤❤she was a treasure!!!!
Yes she was. Also I find it both funny and kind of cool that for Family Guy Blue Harvest during The Red Wings Standing By they actually were able to have Helen Reddy come in to just say “Helen Reddy Standing By”.
The very first movie I saw!!!! 🐲 always in my top 10...always believe!!!
It wouldn’t be in my top ten, but I do have a soft spot for it.
This was every Friday night when I was in college...
RIP Norman Lear your genius and progressiveness will be missed!

Thank You Very Much. I really appreciate it.
Wow, very impressive! 👏
Thank You!
A fantastic show from a time that we will never ever see again Ever PERIOD!!!!!

It’s such an underrated musical, film, and Sondheim work.
