Papa gaa Nolo , Will i be able to listen to your podcast on another social platform? let me know
👌👌👌👌Informative….
Thanks 🙂 Refilwe. I hope you have a wonderful day
Thank you for the video, my question is how do I position myself as an analyst when I have experience in Accounting, External Reporting to be specific, without having to start from scratch? Most of the analyst posts and jobs I have come across would require one to have some form IT experience😢
Hi, entry to data analysis has become extremely competitive now given the previous low barriers to entry. Why would you want to leave Accounting for analysis? can't you enhance your accounting expertise with knowledge of a few tools and then become a financial analyst?
Video Editing is too low 👎👎👎👎 Edit the video in a good style. Add nice b-roll animation when you are speaking or explaining something. This will increase visualization. Put proper subtitles, effects, transitions, and colors in the video. Insert the B-Roll (footage and animation) very well because it is absolutely low in your video. Do all this and then see how the video doesn't turn out good. 🧄
When we see the title 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲 _________________________ After watching for 2 minutes 😴🙄🙄😇😇😇😇🧐🦄
If someone says that video editing should be enhanced then I also vote "yes" 🧅
No, only they should take this decision. 🍎
You guys are saying this today, right? I have been saying this for several weeks now that you should improve your video editing. 🫓
Video editing score = 200/100 😊🤣🤣🤣🤣🤩🤣🙃🙃🥳🥳🥴🙂
Hi Sir I am kannan I want to learn Data Analyst Can u give me whatsapp number
Hi Kannan Here is a link to join our Analyst Chat Community on WhatsApp chat.whatsapp.com/JKBpoKrHO2xEkytlWtujGn
Thank I've been following 🙏 much Appreciated Sir
You are very welcome and thanks for following.
We are definitely not ready our education system does not accommodate this firstly, we have many people making a living doing things like driving, data capturing etc. We currently do not have any plans in place to upskill these people so they can continue working through 4IR. I did the research for my capstone project in my final year for my Bcom degree on the impact of introducing it in the workplace and most people fear losing their jobs and becoming negative in the workplace and times even sabotaging the 4IR solutions. In conclusion before introducing 4IR in the workplace we must have a plan to upskill employees and how the change will be managed so that 4IR solutions benefit both the employer and employee.
Thanks Duduzile for this insight. Based on what you have said, we need more pragrammes to help people understand the impact of 4IR in the workplace. It seems we have to start that conversation and organise talks (physical and online) and speak.
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
Very informative👌🏽
Glad it was helpful!
What a way to end my week! So glad I won the book and can’t wait to start reading 🎉
we are extremely humbled. I know you will most definitely enjoy each chapter of the book. The book is written in a non-technical way to explain technical concepts.
Will definitely get my teenage girls to watch it with me. I will be like your mother.
Congratulations to the winner🎉
Your videos are amazing. I am learning alot😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. I'm one of the people who went to university, and I'm currently looking for a job in this field of analytics. I have an honours in economics. But, I have been doing different online courses in quantitative modeling and finance to gain more knowledge. I have been binge watching your videos and learning a lot. I feel like once I finally get the job, it will be easy for me to adjust because of the knowledge you've been staring.
Glad it was helpful! You are totally on the right track. Feel free and join our community on WhatsApp as we share daily insights that could also benefit you: WhatsApp Community: chat.whatsapp.com/DGOIkIiq72Y8Hlr9OzzFJP

Thank you!!
Congratulations once again Dzee bezel wa Olerato😊amazing stuff indeed.
Thank you kindly
Amazing stuff. Thank you for teaching us.
Glad you enjoying it!
The funniest thing is that Companies use these terms interchangeably. You would only get clarifications when you read the job requirements.
I know. I think there needs to be clarity for business analyst in Finance, IT, and Operations.
I’m busy with reports and I just had to come back to this video ....Very informative I tell u ...thanks dizzy
Welcome back! Im glad I assisted you. You are welcome to share you struggles on our WhatApp community
Will definitely watch it ,I missed out on it in my childhood
I would suggest you be careful when watching, there is content that makes my hair rise as i watch now
Hello, I hope you are great. This is not related to anaysis. Do you mind sharing the Application/software you used to edit this particular video ?
Hi Ontii, definitely so. I have used two editing softwares. The first is an application called Lightcut. Lightcut works well with Osmo mobile and has a timer so i know to speed up of slow my speech accordingly. I them transferred the video to my computer for the second online software called ClipChamp. The software has stock video and creates subtitles. Its subtitles are better than UA-cam auto subtitles - maybe its my accent. I hope you find this in order.
Thanks for this. Also, it would be great if you did a small demo/example on excel on a simple data set on such videos. Very basic so viewers can match your explanations to visuals especially for beginners. Small clips or picture pop ups on the screen.
Great suggestion! thanks
Thank you, these videos are so insightful. As a BA, I can attest to how difficult it can get trying to work with data end to end. I’ve had to do it once or twice before and it’s a mission for one person! Love this content and looking forward to Episode 6. Just for interest, do you have any videos touching on certifications? What’s your take on them? I studied Data Mining (Majored in Statistics and Computer Sciences), 5 years working experience but only pivoted into BA about a year ago. I enjoy the business side of analytics over data but have seen the value of having some technical skills, even if it’s just basic, they go a long way, your SQL, your Tableau/ PowerBI, SAS etc I want to dive deeper into BA aiming to get a IIBA certification in the near future but can’t help but notice job descriptions that still require your python, R, SAS etc for BA roles. Should I invest in both? Will I be shooting my self in the foot if I focus more only in BA certifications with very less technical skills ? AI is evolving fast and it’s getting tricky out here lol
Hi and thanks for you kind remarks. You have read my mind as i have a section for education and certification. I will start talking about this later on. I have seen there is so much noise regarding which programs are relevant etc. As a finance person, I would suggest you analyse return on investment (ROI) before you enrol further. BA is well established and most organisations are open minded to send you for certification and training.
@@BeingAnAnalyst 100% thank you. I will be on the lookout on your content on this.
Hi Lisema, so when you started your youtube channel I was a good follower and it actually inspired me to learn a Data Science course with Explore AI Academy, now m trying to go into the Analyst market, thank you for the inspiration and I will keep learning from your podcasts to hopefully land the big Analyst role.
Hi Jabulile, I still remember your questions from back then. I an shook now that being an analyst is becoming difficult by the day. I hope the situation change as there is a huge shortage of analyst due to high barriers of entry... All of the best in you journey
So good❤
It’s my pleasure, I'm assuming you already changing your village
Great video!
It’s a pleasure
My immediate thought is did you get their buy in, do they understand the why? Is that an actual "need" for them? It also sounds like there arw some fears not being communicated or fear of the unknown.
You are totally right Paula. We did a high level needs analysis and we had identified what was needed as prescribed by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I now know that it’s better for them to get money as they would know how to address their problems. We can only hope they don’t blow it all like RAF patients - they get the money to upgrade their homes and the spend it on entertainment.
Thank you!!
Thank you Lisema for this . I have always been curious but didn’t have courage to ask but I think now is the time What made you decide to navigate from your day doing management accounting to strategy analysis , infomatics , development science, what informed your decisions. Was it structured in that you knew you had to move from here to there to finally get to where you are now. The final part I’m interested in is how you managed all of this whilst being a very intentional parent ( I watch Olerato channel as well) Thank you 🙏🏽
I hope the short was sweet to the point
Absolutely, there is a conversation you said you had with your seniors when you wanted to pivot that i didnt get clearly. You spoke about value.
Totally, I was told a tip that whatever you want will happen if you could show that it’s more valuable than the cost of implementation. This is why I spoke about how I got 7 universities qualifications as a way to build value on me while delivering value at work. I believe entrepreneurship is about value creation
I am an accounting student and you made me realize that doing research is very important and taking note that some of our resources aint user friendly as they use jargon, not simple plain English that everybody understand. Honesty speaking we do not check what is required of our companies but get excited to start. Thank you so much. I can't wait for other videos.
You are absolutely correct. I am part those creating more confusion in boardrooms. I told myself about 3yrs ago that i will make everything simple to understand. I dont know how am I doing thus far...
I didn't know you have a channel. I am on a binge. Thank you so much for sharing, being a inspiration and explaining some concepts
What a pleasure and thanks Jacqueline. I kept the channel low key for years. I dont know why...
Dizzie Basel
that was a good one
thanks
Dizzy Bazal
I can't wait for watch, i'm one of those people who's also heavy on degrees and i need help getting out of that mindset, degrees rtake long. There are more eefficient ways to get to the same point.
You and I are on the same boat. I also saw something that changed my life by @DR.Grace Lee on ua-cam.com/video/OPiXobBnCKI/v-deo.html
Congratulations
thanks
I really loved the fact that you uploaded this one! Cheers to surrounding ourselves with the right partners!
Totally, I think they understood cos they even said that was unlike me to drop off kids that late. Im that dad that sometimes wait outside for doors to open. mara this day was rough...
I am not laughing at the Afrikaans greeting moment but I'm dying of laughter. This happened to me just yesterday morning , everything that could go wrong went wrong from waking up late and traffic lights not working on my way to work. I just ended up jamming to music in my car cause I realized there was nothing I could do. All the best for the rest of the days.
Lets all blame the rain and blockout curtains hey. this winter is really gonna be long...
Notification gang💃💃💃
totally hey. Thanks Vuyo
Very informative video and so much to learn *as always* , analysis is broad. I am an IT application analyst focusing mainly on database/data issues. I need to catch up on your previous videos that I have missed.
Hi Oteng, you are absolutely right when you say analysis work is broad. My aim is to find commonality and explore ways we could be better. Thank you for being on this channel.
