The pre-rendered video cutscenes in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time are only rendered at a resolution of 1080p with a framerate of 30FPS. That FULL HD resolution is SOO nerdy for the year 1994! ... OK: There're those diagonal parts of the song text requiring high definition, of course. 😎 PS: Good&old (and evil) Dooooms, played all those through and created complex 3D levels for hundreds of hours to escape the teenage reality (as with Quake). 🙃💪 These covers respect those times of dreamy unreality!
If you're talking about the fidelty of the music here in comparison to the original MIDI recordings, game music being re-recorded with live instruments was actually not that uncommon back then. The port of Doom to the 3DO back in the day had music that was completely recorded with live instruments vs a midi sequence.
Ohh I just meant the visual resolution of this video, 1920x1080 pixels =full hd, being a bit overkill, funny little detail, nothing bad in that! 😃 (the musician in the "start image" was wanted in HD, yeah.. 😎) And OK another topic: I'm not sure I knew about that re-recording with live instruments back then..
