I so wanna get up there and explore the trails. Are there RV parks we can stay at while wheeling around. Love the duck cemetery. Definitely always air down lol

The cave should be open for pro caver to explore not for everyone and remove the body of him cuz it's for everyone not only for john family i know it's terrible what happen but still people want to visit see inside that was illegal to close the entrance it doesn't make any sense this is nature of this country it must be free for everyone

Where hole cave why clove there

One of the absolute worst caving tragedies ive ever heard of. Rip john jones, what you went through was sheer terror. 😢

I remember I watched an interview & his mother said that a few weeks after the plaque was placed, someone vandalized it. People can be horrible sometimes .

I just watched The Last Descent about a week ago.

People with little regard for life, who risk their lives, soon find out how precious life is. It is the epitome of selfishness to leave ones family (wife and daughter), to seek a thrill that can take your life and leave your family with out a husband and father. As well to risk the lives of the rescuers that will inevitable attempt a rescue. No, I have no sympathy for these folks, just anger at their selfishness and complete lack of respect for life. Then they become immortal for their stupid choices on YT.

I've actually been there- the only true spelunking experience of my life. There were definitely spots that made my hair stand on end when I considered them. There were four of us scouts and two leaders. We only had part of a day, so even though we were interested in exploring further, we chose to forgo attempting the Birth Canal. I always intended to go back again and try it. Never made it, obviously. Every time I think of this guy, in addition to the human empathy for the awful suffering of his final hours, a little shiver runs down my spine. I understand he was in the Birth Canal part of the system.

Thanks for posting this! I was curious what it looked like! I would spent hours four wheeling in that desert as a kid but I never saw the cave.
