AFAIK Amiga audio was all sample based so you could have literally any sound you wanted. So why does this sound like an Atari 2600

Surely this started as another game and got reskinned as thundercats, as it has almost nothing to do with the series. Ray guns, hovercraft, floating snowflake enemies, midgets… even the iconic theme music is missing

Crikey - was this game programmed in BASIC? Super-jerky scrolling and animation: completely unnecessary on the Amiga.

What a shitty game tbh. The change in gameplay style was kind of weird, but I didn't care as a kid.

I remember this game only having two weapons and the sword of omens was the worst weapon in the game. You just pick up the blaster and keep hold of it.

This game is underrated

Playing games with some help is no bad thing to happen. However to lie and say no cheats etc used when using them is just WRONG. You have a code active to negative projectile objects, it's blatantly obvious.

What's with some Amiga games having no music during gameplay? The Darkman game also has no music during gameplay.

With the sequel announced interest in this vid is about to boom. What an amazing game this was. I use to laugh how it use to use sound effects similar to xenon 1 like the gun sound, collecting power ups and the explosions. As for the midi theme. Wow. Creativity at its finest. Love how the tune totally change tone 1 minute in . Finally did anyone else think the main character look a bit like that chick from thundercats ( the one that use to run very fast!)

I agree, mate. "Relentless" is the perfect description of it. Not one moment did I ever feel safe from harm, especially since there was no way to duck or avoid most of the shots. I felt as if the exploration and lamp-finding was severely hampered by how "shooty" the devs wanted to make this game. I was ready to have some fun blasting and jumping, but I was so sorely disappointed before I even replaced my first lamp. A shame, because I loved the character designs and idea behind it.

Is it me or did the game NOT take off a demerit when you got 5000 more in score? This would make the game harder if indeed this was the case.

Few quick things if you want to do a replay for better score: 1) Donuts in the background also give you extra time, and the donuts the oven-like bakeries slide to and away from you do the same. Some arcade/Lynx APB longplays go for these for more time. 2) Money bags are good for score (every 5000 bucks erases a demerit), but in rare cases the "Demerit Erased" prize is in the bag itself, which takes off a demerit if you have one instantly. 3) Gas stations trade time for gas, and if you loads of time from donuts, you can spend some to get more gas to extend your drive-time (since your day ends in your parking spot or with an empty tank). 4) You luck into spotting an APB, bring him/her in. They can get you enough to erase a demerit (or close to it); later ones with higher reward money could take off two or three.

I'm 16 minutes into mega nostalgia and am seeing this all the way through. Kids today will never understand the struggle of playing a game with no manual, where you haven't got a fucking clue what you're supposed to be doing.

this game is quite relentless and I definitely see why it tends to be seen as a bad game but it's actually quite satisfying once it's understand how to best play it. I got up to level 4 or 5 a few years ago and enjoyed my time with it but it's not for everyone that's for sure
