On Saturday 25 January 2025, SMRS headed towards Shri Mayureshwar (or Moreshwar) Ganpati Temple & Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ashtavinayak Ganpati Temple Siddhatek. Accompnied by 6 fellow riders and total 7 riders started journey from Pune to Morgaon and Siddhatek, this is our 3rd ride of Ashtavinayak Series. We first visisted Morgaon and later Siddhatek Ashtavinayak Temple. Roads towards both the Ashtavinayak temple are in good condition. We started from Navle Bridge and from Nasrapur we took left crossing through Narayanpur, Purandar fort road and Saswad.
Shri Mayureshwar (or Moreshwar) Ganpati temple is one of the Ashtavinayakas (Eight sacred Ganapati temples) in Maharashtra. It is located in Morgaon Village in the Pune District of Maharashtra state. It is around 60 kilometers via Jejuri-Morgaon-Baramati Road and Saswad - Bopdev - Pune Road.
Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple is an important temple. It marks the beginning and end of the Ashtavinayak Yatra. It means that devotees should start the journey from Morgaon, and at the end, they need to visit the same place. The temple flourished during the rule of Peshwas, and it was blessed with the presence of Moraya Gosavi.
Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ashtavinayak Ganpati Temple Siddhatek one of the eight major temples of Lord Ganesha which constitutes the divine Ashtavinayak temples in Maharashtra. Siddhi Vinayak Ganpati Temple is Situated on the banks of river Bhima Siddhatek lies in Karjat taluka of Ahmednagar district on the Pune- Sholapur Railway Daund is the station from where one can reach Siddhtek which is 18km away.
