The proliferation of weapons is a crucial issue in Sub-Saharan Africa where we see the growing of rebells, terrorism and auto defense groups represent a bigger threat to population. I believe the bigger issue here is the bad governance maintained by dictator regimes and supported by powerful countries that leads to proliferation weapons trade.

Democracy is not a guarantee, every generation has to fight for. I think that is true in my country here

Here's what bipartisanship gets you, just during the past couple presidents: the Iraq war, the Afghanistan war, tax cuts for billionaires, tens of millions of people without health insurance, dismantling of welfare, deregulation of industry, ever increasing military budgets, trade deals that send good paying jobs overseas, ubiquitous illegal spying on citizens, endless and unpunished financial crime, and a minimum wage that can't support a family in any zip code in the country. And these clowns clutch their pearls and blame social media. Look the other way, huh?

Bipartisanship is not a worthy goal when Republicans deny reality and work to sabotage voting rights and democracy (while using government power as a weapon against our most vulnerable). In fact, it's acting as an accomplice.

Interesting discussion always but doesn't get too far. Liberty and freedom is the aim of humanity. Politics notwithstanding, there is one universal mind. Having committees working with conscience, presenting equitable outcomes to the voters and the public in general will be educational. Currently a few hard times are required to wake the world up, pop the collective bubble of the halves that we all come from the same source, it's time to share, and get off this rock.
