Monday 8/12/24. First time out to check out the new surface in Turns 6 & 7. The GoPro overheated before the last session with the fastest times. All times taken verbatim from RaceChrono Pro. The new surface is killer!!

Getting onto the track, T.M. was coming in but decided to stay out and ride behind me. His presence pushed me to brake later than usual going into the hairpin and nearly run off. He's faster than me on any day.

Trying to catch a faster rider on an R6 with number plates. I can't turn lap times this fast without getting a tow like this. He pushed me to a 1:26.26, which is .67 sec faster than my previous best. That's almost 3/4 of a sec, which is a lot.

R6 Chasing a BMW HP4 1000, 1199 Panigale and KTM 890 Duke R

Chipping away at the BMW’s (HP4 S1000RR?) advantage, but in the end, a slower rider is what brought me onto his rear tire. At 10:36, I signaled track mentor, Mr. Perfect to go by on his 1199 Panigale. I thought I heard Tyler Duffy's 890 Duke R. At 11:26 Tyler Duffy of MotoAmerica’s Twins Cup and Super Hooligan classes make’s an appearance and goes by on his KTM 890 Duke R.

Getting on the gas with too much lean angle at a part of the track where the suspension unloads. Got launched up and whacked my collarbone on the edge of the windscreen saving it.

Thank you for asking. It's a Hero 10 on a fuel tank/gas cap mount. The remote mic with a dead cat sits under the seat, pointed at the exhaust. Also shooting at 24fps, 1/48sec shutter speed with a ND32 Neutral Density Filter. This is it... imgur.com/a/RW1t8C3

It sure felt like a handful at the time. Collarbone is still tender, but the track (Harris Hill Raceway, Texas) is open this Friday-Monday and you know I'm going to be there!
