Almost Heaven Sauna Install
Переглядів 19 тис.4 роки тому
This is a one person install of the Bridgeport/Braxton Almost Heaven 6-person Sauna. Change the playback speed to 1.75x to get through it a little faster! Sauna Hat I use - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FBLVT2R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hi Ryan, just watched your video install. Fabulous! What Almost Heaven model is the sauna? Thanks Nader 10-20-24
great job may I share this video
I know it says indoor use only but could it be placed outside under cover or awning?
Not sure, maybe in a garage?
How to install the optional floor?
It doesn’t come with a floor, did you do something to account for that? Worried about ruining the laminate hardwood in our basement where we are assembling right now.
where did you put your temp gauge?
Seen a video by the company where they put it on the opposite wall high up
Excellent video! Question for you. From Almost Heaven's official installation video for this sauna, it appears that the "power supply" (I'm assuming for the light) needs to be installed to the back wall from the outside. In your video, I did not see anything being installed to the outside of the back wall. Is that the case? We'd like to position the sauna as close to the wall as possible, but I wanted to know if we need access to the outside of the back wall at any time during the assembly process. Thanks in advance!
For reference, here's the part that I am referring to: ua-cam.com/video/Eq2nn7hQr88/v-deo.htmlsi=7HkhOVhiMX_jpELW&t=331. Did you have to install anything to the outside of the back wall? If so, can that be done before the back wall is put in place? Or did you install this power supply at another wall? Thanks so much!
You can mount the power supply to the back panel anytime during the assembly process. Probably easier to do it before pushing it against the wall.
Lookonf for an operational video. My daughter just bought a house with one of these. Wondering how to do a moist sauna.
Are you still loving your sauna? We are about to buy one. How's the heater, did you upgrade?
Still loving it! Not sure what options there were for upgrading. I think I just went with whatever it came with - Harvia heater.
FANTASTIC! Thanks for sharing -- and WELL DONE YOU 🙌
Hey some quick questions for you. Does that heater get up to 190 Degrees and how fast? What is the quality of almost heaven sauna, good or bad?
Quality is good. It takes about an hour to get up to 190. My only complaint on the Harvia heater is that the knobs could be a little more precise. Otherwise, I love it!
i just got mine it’s excellent i love it .
Hi Ryan, thanks for this great video. So how to connect the heater to power? Just plug in to a wall outlet? Thanks!
I wish it was that easy. Had to upgrade to 40amp breaker and have an electrician hard wire it.
What’s the hottest temperature this gets up to? Thank you.
I think I've had it up to 210, but now I set the heater to about 80 and just turn it on. Usually gets to 190.
did you use 30 or 40 Amp breaker? Thanks
40
Thanks Ryan great video. I'm trying to decide between this sauna (which is I believe made from Western/Douglas fir) or the Worthington which is high grade spruce.. does yours keep its color, are you satisfied with the wood quality, smell, durability? Thanks very much.
Satisfied with the wood (color, smell, etc.), but just be wary of too much sweat if you tend to sit in the same spot every day. I generally put down a towel, plastic mat, towel on the top and bottom benches where I sit just to be sure I don't stain the wood.
@@rurik4464 Thanks very much!
Hey Ryan, Awesome video! Is the sauna still preforming well? I am thinking about getting the Worthington as it is on a better sale than the Bridgeport this month. But just wondering. Thanks
It is! Sorry, I didn't have comment notifications on. Still loving it a couple years later!
Is it move able once built? Could you slide it a few feet into place once built?
You might be able to slide it with a few guys helping depending on the flooring it's on, but it's pretty heavy.
Is there much moisture dropping/dripping on the floor? I’m building one and see there is no flooring with it and we have marinate flooring.. thanks
No, I’ve never noticed any. The water never gets past the rocks.
@@rurik4464 thanks. I’m asking about the steam running down the walls/glass and sweat dripping down. Does the floor get wet/damp and does the floor get very hot?
@@tchaiquentin it’s nothing even close to what a shower produces in a bathroom. Nothing dropping on the floor besides a few drops of sweat. I had a bunch of extra wood planks that I used for a floor and bought some cheap runner rugs from Costco for on top of the wood planks.
@@rurik4464 super.thanks for the fast response.. and good idea about the rugs. We were going to put down some planks loosely on the floor to at least mitigate any heat impact to the floors and absorb any sweat. But I like the idea of the rugs. I guess sone watchable rigs would be good too.. thanks again..!
Are you still happy with the sauna? Does it get warm enough?
Sorry I missed this. Still love it and use it 5 days a week.
@@rurik4464 Ryan I have the same question, wondering if you have no complaints and now you've owned for nearly 2 years?
@@BestShortsW Still using it!!
Does it need a drain? Outdoor vent?
Neither.
