Informative and educational videos with a little travel, history and current hot-spot attractions from places all over the World.
Zurich – The World’s Most Expensive City
I’ve headed back to Switzerland for this Postcard of the beautiful city of Zurich. This beauty is right up there with its amazing old town and location being on the tip of Lake Zurich. You’ll find lots to see in a small area, which makes visiting here a treat, especially if you like walking and meandering around city centres.
Have a quick look at Zurich and let me know in the comments what you think you’d see yourself doing here. Thanks again for watching!

Hardly a cookie-cutter city that the pictures make it out to be, Barcelona is a city of wonder and culture. Works by famed architect and designer Antoni Gaudi litter the city with none other than the ever-popular Sagrada Familia taking front and center. Stops to Las Ramblas and Mount Tibidabo will also provide you with amazing views and local cuisine that can’t be beat. Check out my top attract...

You have to see this side of Croatia. And by side, I mean the entire eastern side of the Adriatic Sea, which shares the coastline with the beautiful country of Croatia. There are a couple places in this video I’ve heard of, but oh my there are countless amazing little towns that just scream vacation! I’ve thrown in some bigger cities in with some smaller towns and even some remote fishing villa...

Istanbul | The City of Two Worlds
Переглядів 85Рік тому
At some point there has to be a place that joins Europe to Asia and fortunately for Turkey, this happens at the massive city of Istanbul. A sprawling metropolis that has its modern skyscrapers off in the distance, but has a great waterfront that hasn’t changed in decades. Filled with giant famous mosques and one of the biggest indoor bazaars you’ll ever find, Istanbul will provide some of the b...
Milan, Italy | The Fashion Capital of the World
Переглядів 219Рік тому
Welcome to the fashion capital of the world, Milan Italy. While Milan may be a household name for many people, it’s a little overshadowed by the more popular Italian cities such as Rome and Venice, but I assure you this is the gateway to some pretty incredible northern Italy destinations. Close to the Dolomites and Lake Como, Milan prides itself on being the center of it all. With amazing castl...
Montreal, Canada | Best Places to Visit in Quebec

Back to Canada we go and honestly Montreal is one of my favourite places to visit. I’ve been to the city multiple times and have never been disappointed. Of course, most of my visits revolved around watching a hockey game, but I’ve taken in a few other attractions as well. I’m fully aware though that I haven’t even scratched the surface in any way with what Montreal has to offer. Have a look at...
Rome’s Colosseum at a glance

Rome is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and it houses some of the most incredible architecture ever built in Italy. Seoul, South Korea: Old vs New
Переглядів 125Рік тому
One of my dreams for travelling is to get over to East Asia. There are so many amazing places that are a world different than the one I grew up in and Seoul, South Korea is one of those places. Having almost moved there after university and always had a soft spot for Seoul, I’m surprised it took me this long to do a video on it and I’m sure glad I did because now I have that itch to go! It’s qu...
Experience Stockholm's Best Attractions
Переглядів 118Рік тому
Sweden is where it’s at when it comes to amazing cityscapes that meet waterfronts and Stockholm shows you exactly what that means. Certainly, a lot different than your traditional city layout with having 14 islands and over 50 bridges, Stockholm will keep any tourist guessing as to where they are and where to go next, but don’t worry there’s plenty of amazing things to see no matter what island...
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil | Must Visit Attractions!
Переглядів 108Рік тому
I thought a great spot to start my South American locations would be Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro. With its Avatar-like backdrop and cityscape that literally drops off into amazing beaches, Rio is certainly a place like no other. Realistically, people come here for 1 of 2 reasons, the beaches or to visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, the Christ the Redeemer statue. And I don’t blame any...
Madrid Travel Guide: Best Spots to Visit in Spain's Capital City

Ohh Spain, you’ve done it again. This time we’re about as far from any coast as you can get, but still at one of the most notable cities in the country. I find Madrid is a stark contrast from others along the Southern coast like Seville or Valencia, which I think warrants a little more digging around to find that perfect spot or attraction that will make a trip here memorable. I’ve set out a fe...
The Biggest Things to do in DUBAI! (And Why)
Переглядів 836Рік тому
Man, Dubai is so crazy! I can’t get over the super modern architecture throughout the entire city and also the basically insane ideas they come up with for everything that they build. It’s no question that some of the attractions in Dubai are some of the most out-there designs in the entire world and really, you’ll be blown away some of the stuff they’ve actually completed, but United Arab Emir...

Heidelberg and Rothenburg are two of my favorites. Wurzburg is on the list for next year while attending the 500 year anniversary of the peasants uprising. Nuremberg is also on the list for a visit. Garmisch Partenkirchen is beautiful also but not really a city.
Under 100k City, over 100k big City, over 1mio Metropol A small City Are 5k-50k, by German Standards. Because we only have Four “1mio cities“. Berlin over 3mio, Hamburg over 2,5mio, München over 1,5mio and Köln over 1mio.
Bremen is definitively not a small city. It has a population of over 600k and is among the larger cities in Germany.
From WC USA, Regensburg, over 2000 years old, very beautiful I was stationed there in the 1960’s!
Schwäbisch Hall?
what about Nürnberg?
What about it? It's in the video.
We are talking about Germany not Poland
Why should he be talking about Poland in a video about Germany?
Have been in Poland or the Czech Republic
🎉 Nice video. I hope in the future, my Small Travel Channel can grow like yours. Maby you have some tips? 😢
Thank you! Just keep working at it! It all takes time.
@@postcardtravels thank you! 🤩
Cremona, Trieste, Vicenza, Padova, Lake Orta, Lake Garda, Bolzano, Trento, Bassano del Grappa, Imperia, La Spezia
Great video🎉
Thank you so much!
Königsberg in Bayern is missing on the list.
Maybe on your list, but clearly not his. It is a Top 10 list, not a 'list every city in Germany' list.
@@JamesD-iw6pr Have you been there to be able to say that this way? He was asking for hidden gems. And that's one.
These aren’t small cities.
So five of these cities are among Germany’s fourteen largest, all of which are considered Großstädte by German standards, the smallest of these is Nürnberg with a population of more than half a million people. Some small city recommendations from me: Prien am Chiemsee, Passau, Lindau, Regensburg, Ochsenfurt, Sommerhausen, Miltenberg, Aschaffenburg, Meißen, Quedlinburg, Wernigerode.
Addition to my comment This is not to say that a visit to these cities is not recommended. On the contrary. With their history and wealth of magnificent buildings, these cities show that Germany is more than just romantic medieval castles and half-timbered houses.
You did not visit any of those cities/towns, did you? I think you or whoever in your company has not been in Europe at all. None of the video footage was taken by you.
I think you're right. Two Cities are small the Rest are not so small. Cities with 100000 People are big Cities.
@@woodstock1969-ls I know because I have visited all of them. When I walk across the town's streets I go to each attraction to see them with my eyes...
Trier is my favorite small city, and saarburg is a town that's only 30 minutes train ride away from trier, and that's my favorite town in germany.
Awesome! I'll have to look them both up. Thanks for watching!
I apreciate, that you at least also traveled to the north. Most others just name the same cities in the south as allways. But the north and east has much more to offer. Try Greifswald, Rheinsberg, Lübbenau, Oranienburg, Schwerin, Potsdam, Lüneburg, Binz, Wismar, Stade or Friedrichstadt. Just to name some of them 😉
Thank you for your positive comment and that great list of cities that I can check out. Having a different perspective is always a good thing so thank you for watching!
❤❤❤❤
Monschau was my favorite little German town.
Awesome! I'll check it out. I appreciate you watching and commenting your favourite!
How disappointing. . . Except for one, which i had never heard of. NONE of these cities are small. How about: Kassel, Goettingen, Schleswig, Bonn, and so on. . . Go away and tour Germany!
I've been to Kassel. Made the run in under 12 parsecs
Just so you know, two of the towns mentioned here have a population of around 10,000 people, another one a population of around 15,000. Definitely small. At least 4 of the towns mentioned had a smaller population than Kassel and Schleswig with it's population of 2.8 million is well over 5 times the size of the largest mentioned in this video
Yeah really, Leipzig is the most populated city in eastern block after Berlin.
I think he means the city, not schleswig-holstein region... 😂 @@vincentvega9863
Very nice place ❤
Nice places amazing ❤
Nice video of a great city - well done Postcard Travela.
Thanks for watching!
you're welcome @@postcardtravels
Informative video - BUT - please reduce the base in the Voice Over while reducing the background music. Between the two it makes it a muddy confusing conglomeration which is difficult to discern and listen to. When we choose YOUR video, we want to actually HEAR and UNDERSTAND t he information and NOT be entertained. We go to loud pubs and discotechs to be inundated with loud surroundings which are confusing and give us a headache. Please, not here.
You named all the obvious places, I love to hear of the little villages not so well known, where tourists don’t often go
What town was displayed at the very beginning of the video?
@melpomenathemuse it's Freiburg located in the South of Germany.
Nice video ! Stockholm looks a lovely city,
Thank you very much!
you're welcome @@postcardtravels
Wish u had names of towns put on the video too
I can for sure look into that suggestion for future videos. Appreciate the feedback and you watching!
I appreciate your video but... Florence does not belong to northern Italy but to central Italy. I'm not saying this because I think Florence doesn't deserve to be mentioned, rather because central Italy is a distinct entity and is perpetually neglected and unfairly allocated partly to the north and partly to the south.
Thanks for the feedback! I agree and I kind of went with 'my own' version of north/south with a little overlap. I've had a look at a few central Italian places that really are too cool to not have a look at so I'm working on another (maybe 2) Italian videos, which will fall more in line with the traditional distinctions of locations. Stay tuned and let me know what you think! Also, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment in a positive way!

Siena and Perugia are located in Central Italy, greetings from Firenze (Florence)
You sure hit the BIG tourist attractions all right. My ears cringed at the pronunciation of Italian, . . . .
Haha yes I'm the first to admit that my language skills need some work! I am trying as best I can. Thanks for watching and I'll try to refine my pronunciation in the future!
you can’t expect a foreigner to pronounce words in your language perfectly man

Ah so it is! Thanks for pointing that out. Sometimes the clips aren't tagged correctly with the location and if you haven't been there, it's hard to tell sometimes! Guess I'll need to travel to everywhere I make a video just to be sure :) Thanks for watching!
Bellissima la mia Palermo ❤️ thank you for this video

WOW
Siena and Perugia in Southern Italy…..Wait, What? Traveler’s Tip: You’re map is upside down😄😂
Haha Guilty! It's so tough to separate my favourite spots in Italy in the first place let alone north and south. First I thought Rome was a good divider, then realized my northern Italy list stopped at Florence and that left Siena and Perugia in limbo. Annnnd here we are...a new geographic travel list? haha I hope you enjoyed it either way and I really do appreciate the feedback and you watching!
È strano il concetto di posizione geografica che hanno gli stranieri, sicuramente molto bizzarro a proposito dell'Italia.
@@postcardtravels Bologna and Emilia Romagna region are located in nortern Italy, Tuscany are divided from Bologna from Appennini mountains, Tuscany is located in Central Italy, i was born in Bologna Province in 1964 and raised in Florence Province since 1966
How could you miss Matera?
Ah great point. This is a really cool spot and is totally different than most. I'm gonna keep this in my back pocket for a postcard video or for sure on another Italy one. Thanks for the comment and also watching!

Great video of Dublin, very informative. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks! I think this might be my next trip over the Atlantic to Europe to be honest.

Thanks for the comment! I generally kept places north of Rome for Northern Italy and anything South including Rome for my Southern list. Appreciate you watching either way!
