Paul Hardiman produced this alternate version. I find it exquisite : and I don't use the word lightly. Lloyd's voice creaks like an old wooden door on rusty hinges as crisp minimalist drums and Ann Dudley's best string arranging recall the Rattlesnakes highlights that had immediately preceded this gem. Somewhere between country and western and Bacharach / David this nugget can be found by the side of a little used dirt road, surrounded by every myth of love and solitude and summer. I don't know anyone who appreciates it as much as me. And thus it rings eternally true.
