This is awesome! I'm trying to figure out how i can assign joystick buttons to GNS 430/530 using SimConnect. Do you know if it's possible and where to look? I'm new to C# but I know nodejs and staff. I didn't go farther than SimConnect_Open but it's connecting :)
Try FSUIPC. I think they supply mapping to the GPS.

I'm no expert, but when I tried to compile the code under VS Community, after changing to x86 processor, I keep getting an error about "Resource file "Properties/resource.resx could not be found". Do I need to do anything additional to your code to help it compile? Thank you in advance.

Hi! The biggest problem is that you cannot make the arduino talk to the game directly, you need an app in-between. Since I'm a software developer, I built myself a C# app that bridges communications between the arduino and msfs (simconnect). I don't know how familiar you are with C# programming, but you should take a look at my github repo. Hope this helps.
