Mr Rickets Abandoned House Oldest Time Capsule In The Uk Abandoned Since 1976
 in today’s video I explored the oldest abandoned Time Capsule in the UK that I’ve ever found this house has been abandoned since 1976 when the former gentleman that lived their called Mr Ricketts passed away in the house in 1976 and the house has been abandoned ever since unbelievably the bed upstairs was even still made. Obviously the house has seen better days and obviously there’s a lot of decay in there but to my surprise everything was left behind truly stunning Time Capsule and one of my favourite explores just for the simple fact how old it was. Hope you all enjoy today’s video and I see you all next week have another brand-new time capsule

*The paintings on the wall of the faces at **4:32** are serious works of art by Clare Shenstone* (national portrait gallery) . The bottom is a self portrait. and the top is Francis Bacon. I believe the house belongs to him. He died in Spain

Looks like it was built in the eighteen hundreds, so it wouldn't have a bathroom, it would have had an outside toilet.
@ that’s crazy, just to think how they used to live, were lucky these days, with the modern houses we all live in.
@@angelaherherington8632 It probably wouldn't have had hot water originally, just a cold water tap, my cousin's lived in a house like that, they had electricity, but it still had the Victorian gas mantels.
Usually they don’t have a bathroom just outside toilet and mostly a coal or gas boiler to get hot water for a metal bath which was usually hung up outside and brought in and put near the fireplace in the kitchen. Very rare these old houses had running hot water especially if they wasn’t renovated.

That looks totally lived in! They're probably on holiday. From our experiences for the last few years urbexing, some people just let the outside turn to sh1t because they can't afford upkeep or are too old to do so.
