Oh wowwwww, thank youuu LOL) As for their schedule for this round, it goes: Feb. 27, 2021 (Day 1): Top 30 rankings revealed in the morning (also worked as the boys' self-intros) 1 hour of dance training Split into Teams A to F to learn the choreo of their assigned songs Feb 28, 2021 (Day 2): SKY-HI gave each team advice in the morning and the boys continued to practice their assigned songs In the afternoon / early evening Teams A to F perform their songs and then, boys chosen for THE FIRST Training Camp announced (Top 15) syd is almost correct - THE FIRST started airing on Hulu on April 2, 2021, ending August 13, 2021. The final line-up (BE:FIRST) was able to be on TV (Sukkiri now DayDay) 3 days after the final episode was up on Hulu on August 16, 2021. (Sukkiri was involved because they had a morning program that talked about the episode that goes up, very similar to No No Girls Night.) Back during THE FIRST (circa 2021), boss was still trying to find a broadcaster that would be willing to air THE FIRST the way he wanted (no script, no exaggerated drama, no extra segments that exploits the contestants for "views" or "ratings", just the audition and process as it is). NTV / Hulu only said yes to him and his proposal for THE FIRST during this round / Training Camp (February or March 2021). So he had to ask the boys who were still in the audition at the time for permission and inform them about it. I don't know if they edited the show in a way to show the final line-up more, I don't THINK they did....? But say they did, it isn't edited in a way you could see explicit favoritism like you would expect from your usual reality TV, survival shows, or documentaries, if that makes sense. MISSIONx2 is, obviously, very different from this, as syd mentioned. I'd say the editing of the show overall focuses more on the boys who make it into MAZZEL. The editing of the show in general is also a little bit more jumpy so it has its pros and cons, I won't say more in case I spoil anything! I'd say No No Girls is much more similar to THE FIRST in terms of editing. We will see what THE LAST PIECE does! --------- Info ends here ------------ LEO really grew on me in this round when I first watched this. He really has not changed at all. If anything, I think he takes "leading" less seriously and is a bit more relaxed these days, which is good to see. ---------- Fun trivia time ----------- Shota's braids / extensions freaked everyone out LMAO. The boys said that Shota in the suit and extensions in Round 3 gave them all a, "Wow, he's an artist" vibe. Shota was also an older contestant so the young babies were scared hahaha. But especially Shunto since he was the youngest in Team B and he was among a group of really talented people so while boss said "Oh Shunto seems calmer here" YEAH CUZ HE WAS SCARED ASA;DLKFJ;SLD HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Shota was approaching everyone during this round. This was the round where he approached Sota first and said, "Hey! You're Souchin the Davryu right? I follow you on TikTok! Your dance is sick!! We should collab some time!" and Sota was all shocked lmaooo, "This guy in braids knows me?!" ------------------------------------------------------ And thanks for sharing another watch along video. I thought I'll only be seeing these once a week so this completely took me by surprise hahaha Episode 5 might be one of my favourites before the Training Camp arc honestly!

Ahhhh I can finally drop some fun trivia. So you guys mentioned how they have to keep sitting there as boss goes through the Top 30 rankings, the boys mention later that they weren't sure if they were allowed to go to the bathroom and it was LEO asking (very loudly of course), "SORRY CAN I USE THE RESTROOM PLEASE" that Sota thought "OMG YES SOMEONE SAID IT" (because poor fella was holding it in) and also said, "ME TOO!" LMAOOOOOOOOO Sota said Leo saved him in that moment LOL Some of the boys in the Top 30 have debuted elsewhere, release their own music (Shunsuke), tried for auditions, or have yet to find a home, but THE FIRST did really pull a great pool of boys for the Top 30 for sure! Thanks again for another THE FIRST video! Looking forward to seeing y'all go through the auditions in time for the world tour!! Woooo~

Yeah AAA was, and probably still is in terms of fan recognition, the second largest group after arashi. At the time a rapper becoming an idol was also unique. Sky-hi has been breaking barriers for a long time lol.

I wish you could hear RAN live now, he has evolved in another level once again, especially in ICE, there is this part where he make insane notes, each time differently...
