My chorale has performed Gjielo pieces, but I was unfamiliar with The Rose. I happened upon this video a while ago, and I have never tired of it. Beautiful song, beautiful singing… and the visuals are none too shabby. The Picardy third on cello is the cherry on top. Wonderful performance!
