I do! It's due to the fact that I play and teach all of these transcriptions that I keep updating and finding better or more accurate fingering alternatives. 🎸 For me, transcribing is one of the most effective ways to learn improvisation, techniques, and vocabulary! 🎯 It pushes you forward and you become more involved with the music itself, as it is the starting point for wanting to learn particular theory, technique, or creative thinking. There are also plenty of other exercises one can practice to learn even better how to play and improvise, using the transcribed solo. But that is another topic. 😃

Indeed!🙏Jim was a master in that sense! Just be aware that although the full chord is notated in this transcription, Jim would not strike the full chord every time, focusing on the middle strings and missing the 6th string in the majority of times.🤔 I notated the full chord anyway due to a more comprehensive knowledge of the voicings implied.✍ In my PDF files one can notice more accurately wich bass notes were missed. 😉👍

Yes, it is quite muted.

The thing is, it's almost impossible to know in which chords bass notes have been muted or left unstroked. It's a minor difference but still relevant nevertheless. I believe it's a mix of both, so I leave to others to decide what they think.🙏

As I continuously revise and verify all my transcriptions, I sometimes encounter different nuances related to articulation that challenge the previous choices of fingerings. Transcribing is an ongoing process because occasionally, you hear something that wasn't clear before, leading to the discovery of new or alternative ways to play a specific line or phrase, requiring a completely new fingering or articulation. ✅In this case, I updated minor differences found in the notated articulation. ❗That's why anyone who has downloaded any of my transcriptions will receive an updated version every time one is available.
