Spring Creekin'
I'm fishing a spring creek in the highlands of western Virginia where the can get fairly large. This is one of my favorite creeks to fish as the fish are plentiful and fishing can be challenging as these fish can be picky.

Quick review about the UMPQUA ZS2 OVERLOOK 500 chest pack.
It’s lethal when wading, you can’t see your feet.
Is that slit in the back by the net retainer for a hydration hose?
The slit is for net retention. Works great for me with a longer handled net as well as the small nets as well. It can be tricky when trying to feed back into the holder sometimes.
how easy is it to get the net out of the back while your wading?
I found you can push up on the net handle or grab the net from overhead. Both are quite easy.

I can’t pull my met out is to far back, do you have that problem?
I do lately due to an shoulder issue but normal not an issue. You could try using a long handled net that way you push up on the handle and help give you a better purchase on the net.

Can the fly patch on the front of the pack be removed and possibly switched with something else?
Yes
The fly patch can be removed or replaced. Hook and loop on the back.
