    I see here on UA-cam that ceramic knives need sharpening with fine diamond eventually. What about serrated ceramic knives? How are they sharpened?

    • @cestariproducts
      @cestariproducts Місяць тому

      You can sharpen them with a manual sharpener, going up and down the serrations. They last 10X longer than steel, though, so if you don't abuse them, they should last for years without sharpening . We have a lifetime warranty, so if they don't last as long as you think they should, we'll replace them.

    Here again you are showing the foods that these states made famous but not necessarily the foods that the residents eat as a comfort food. I live in Illinois and close to St Louis Mo. As to deep dish pizza, outside of Chicago there are few places that serve it and I know of no one that makes it at home. If you were going to talk about comfort food in Illinois I would say beef or pork roast with potatoes, carrots, and onions or chicken pot pie, As for Missouri. toasted ravioli is a St. Louis thing and served usually as an appetizer though you can eat it as a main dish. Since Missouri has two major rivers plus a lot of tributaries, great fishing lakes, and even stocked ponds, river or lake fish would be my guess for Missourians. There is a lot of great fishing in Missouri so there has to be a lot of great fish recipes and eating.

    • @cestariproducts
      @cestariproducts 11 місяців тому

      I was surprised to see toasted ravioli as a result in the survey, but as I've never lived in MIssouri, I had no way of validating it or not. Thanks for your feedback!

    • @billgrandone3552
      @billgrandone3552 11 місяців тому

      @@cestariproducts If you have never had them you really should, They are a different taste and feel as opposed to boiled ravioli. There should be some recipies on the net. Speaking again for Illinois and as to the northern and Western states where there are seasonal confort foods you need to think of both winter and summer. In Illinois summer is time for salads of vine ripe tomatos, cucumbers, peppers, and green or white onions: sweet corn dripping in fresh butter, and grilled food or barbeque .

    • @cestariproducts
      @cestariproducts 11 місяців тому

      @@billgrandone3552 I have had them - my sister makes them for Thanksgiving each year as an appetizer. I meant I couldn't validate them as a traditional comfort food in Missouri - but the ones my sister makes are awesome. I had always thought they were a northeast thing though.

      It's only a St. Louis area thing as is gooey cake. I would guess that river or lake fish would be a choice of comfort food since there is a lot of great fishing in Missouri rivers lakes, and streams. I lived in St. Louis for 6 years or so while in college and law school but as a college kid ate mostly Ramen and Junk Food stuff that only made my bank account comfortable..

      As I said I might go with river fish for the people close to the Mississippi River and lake and stream or lake fish in the rest of the state because Missouri is rich in streams and lakes and you can find a fish fry almost every Friday or weekend somewhere in Missouri, whether its a church, charity,, or local organization like the K.Cs Volunteer Fire Departments and even schools. There are a lot of boat clubs and fishing tournaments as well there.@@cestariproducts
