Alzheimer’s Disease and its Oral Connection/Neurospirochetosis
Alzheimer’s Disease and Its Oral Connection/Neurospirochetosis
Presented by: Judith Miklossy, MD, PhD
Original Publication Date: September 21, 2013
Course Description:
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurological disorder that primarily affects cognitive function, leading to memory loss, confusion, and behavioral changes. While the exact cause of Alzheimer's disease is not fully understood, research has explored potential connections between oral health and Alzheimer's.
Learning Objectives:
Evaluating the links between oral health, neurospirochetosis, and Alzheimer's disease is an active research area.
Understanding the exact mechanisms and the strength of the associations is still a subject of ongoing investigation.
More research is needed to determine the extent to which oral health may contribute to the development or progression of Alzheimer's disease and the role of spirochetes in this context.
Describe how maintaining good oral health remains essential for overall well-being, and some research suggests that it may have broader implications for brain health.

I sure would like to try this another approach to better dental care
This is SO awesome !!
Go, Dr. Krammer, I feel the same way! I loved your presentation at Jessica Woods webinar a few months ago! Your awesome!
Agree that dental schools are not teaching Oral systemic- NUTRITION issues as the institutionalization of "dietary guidelines" has become political with corrupted science influencing subsequent epidemiological "dietary" studies.
As a practicing dentist and a long time follower of Dr. Lustig's work, I decided to join AAOSH today. I always take the time to explain disease etiology with all my patients hoping that I will plant the seed of knowledge that they will one day take action upon!
Robert Philibert is a complete hypocrite and a idiot.
Like Michael Pollan said, "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants."
Like millions of years of humans did: eat mostly animals. some plants during the season.
I fixed my diet and allergies, and my "mental illnesses" went away. It took overcoming a back injury to realize it.
I was shocked when vegetable oil label said soybean oil!! I have small allergy to legumes.
I believe it’s the fluoride . If this guy would admit it He know it’s true. Use nonfloridated tooth paste. My dad used listerine all his life and he never had cavities. He died at 85 and had no cavities . But died of colon cancer. He did drink alcohol which was probably why he died of colon cancer.
I’m not using sugar myself but I’m still buying it because I put out three humming bird feeders all summer long and I know a bunch more people who feed them as well
Tooth , gum diseases because high pH in mouthb..
Not high but low pH (acid)
@@flycorvus fungus won't survive low pH mouth . Decrease pH is the key of mouth health ..
Fantastic Fireside Chat!

I can’t hearDr. Cannon
I took the BaleDoneen Preceptorship course and started a program at my office- I am a hygienist ❤
Wonderful about the collaboration for whole body health! So pleased to be able to help our patient's!
What is a “cavitation”
Please re-upload a corrected version that is audible. I did read the transcript, but it would have been interesting to listen to the speakers.
AND is Periodontal disease Metabolic Syndrome of the mouth?
Volume is WAY TOO LOW. Please correct.
Sickening American Diet
I love this video.. even though at 79, I have struggled with tooth decay my entire life, I love the fact it wasn't because I wasn't brushing or flossing enough. I have 4+ decades of sobriety from alcohol. I only wish I had known about the connection of sugar and alcohol and how the body metabolizes it the same way. When giving up alcohol I went right into sugar. Though I have always had a sweet tooth. I have been vegan for 2 decades, so many of the recipes have alternative sugar subsitutes. Food and money seem to be the last 2 seats on the addiction bus. What I have realized there are 3 businesses, mine, yours and God's (of our understanding) and to get to God's you have to go through the other two first. In that respect I am grateful for the dental and medical industry. Thank You Dr. Robert Lustig!!!
Alcohol is fermented sugar..basically I've always known that. What I DIDN'T know. Was the FIBER IN FRUIT feeds the gut, and you don't absorb calories nearly as much
@@kathleenking47 What upset me was the fact when fruit is frozen it loses its fiber. I had always bought frozen fruit.
Thank you for this great video! Will there be subtitles/captions available?
Clean and nourish the mouth/body at the same time by brushing with Eucellus products! Nutrient deficiencies and excessive sugar, the real answer to solving the root cause of oral health issues as Dr Lustig explains...
Dr Lustig , you are the best
I had ongoing gum issues (teeth fine) for years. Dentist always put it down to me being an ex smoker because he knew I didn't drink soda or have lots of sweet foods. Turns out it was all the other carbs/added sugars because my gums improved massively a short while into LCHF.
Low carbs and sugar intake can def help! Try brushing with a good nutrient product as well called Eucellus...
Thank you
Great info.Thank you
Diatomaceous earth food grade is better to brush with.. Its alkaline You could get from animal feed stores
The food industry is _not_ our friend.
Especially after 1971 people also need to look into sunlight for children Not exactly tanning But vitamin D3 SUNLIGHT Never before, or since kids were forced indoors at factories Kids weren't outside
excellent! thank you for sharing

I Love This Amazing Man! Dr. Lloyd Rudy has Brains Heart & Courage he was a self-less compassionate man a Brilliant Heart Surgeon & loved by everyone who knew him......... RIP this amazing man made it to heaven & is at peace!!!!
Over six thousand open heart surgeries and more, apparently. Apart from making the discovery he's talking about above (clots as the main cause of heart attacks), he was on the first heart transplant team. A true great and a wonderful man ! A mention also for Dr Roberto Amado Cattaneo (not mentioned in this video) one of his earlier partners, who is also a very distinguished heart surgeon (still) and gives his time free to repair children's hearts in third world countries !

We will be there to learn!
Great insights, Dr. Susan Maples! Looking forward to learning more at the 2019 AAOSH Scientific Session on Thursday, October 17, 2019.
How wonderful that we have technology enabling us to see Dr. Lloyd Rudy and share his experiences with patients who have experienced Near Death...and returned. I just discovered the he too....is now on "the other side". Obituary below. I too had a life-threatening anaphylactic shock...from oyster sauce when I was 28...was on the ceiling observing. I am now 70 and have never been sick since 42 years. When people ask if I believe I have a soul, I fall silent...smile and say...NO, I don't. I don't believe I HAVE a soul...I believe I AM A SOUL...LIKE STEPPING OUT OF A CAR helps people understand my awareness. www.legacy.com/obituaries/greatfallstribune/obituary.aspx?n=lloyd-william-rudy&pid=157250866
Dental Nutritionist ? Well Sir !
There are 2 school of thoughts out there about NDE and having this patient recount all that was in the cardiac room ( i was a cardiac OR nurse) , is impossible for a sedated human body to know those details inside the OR. I am thankful for Dr Loyd for sharing this account. I believe he has pass on in 2012. But accounts like these , gives me another witness that we have another existence , aside from our live body. That we continue to exist in a different form but we are in a society that to see is to believe and that there is a logical explanation for everything . There is no logic in here. When I dealt with the departed because of my work, I always say quietly that we will always take care of body with respect .
Hello @iashakezula, good afternoon here in Brazil. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience. My name is Lucas Arruda, and I am researching the NDE reported by Dr. Rudy. You were one of the cardiovascular nurses at Dr. Rudy's hospital (I apologize if I am mistaken). In this case, I would like to clarify with you: Were you the first witness to the patient's consciousness being revived after the NDE, and were you also the first witness to the patient's account? If not, do you have information on whether Dr. Rudy or Dr. Rudy's assistant were the first witnesses to the patient's consciousness revival and their NDE account? This information is crucial for my research. Thank you in advance!
