i dont see the relevance in bringing up "real food" when doing a fast food tier list, because its about the fast food and only the fast food. obviously food from a real restaurant or home cooking is going to be infinitely better than fast food, but we already know that. im not gonna let food truck or mexican restaurant tacos stop me from putting taco bell at S Tier, because while its not as good as the real stuff, its great for fast food. same for the pizza. a local pizza place is much preferred to dominos, dominos would be D Tier if it was like that, but on a tier list all about dominos adjacent establishments? dominos is easily A Tier at that point. real food doesnt matter in a tier list all about below average food. having xenoblade 3 as your 5th favorite game and not even knowing how it ends is honestly kind of nuts to me, i share seth's befuddlement on that. i feel like the bare minimum of loving an narrative focused piece of art is that you've at least seen it to the end. some of my 2024 statistics are that i watched 707 films(1,266 hours), 76 of which were in theatres, and i played 41 games for the first time. its easily the most films ive seen in a single year and i cant imagine im gonna get close to that again. i got pretty close to the amount of anime you watched in 2024 back in 2016, that was when i was finishing a show about every 2 weeks. i only watched like 3 anime in 2024.

I'm gonna be real with you. I'm very good at video games, been playing them my whole life. Rebirth, while doing all the sidequests and minigames possible before the post-game, took me 90 hours to beat the game. I also rarely take breaks from games, as I usually beat them before moving on to the next game. I took an 8 month break from it because of how much open world stuff there is that you have to do to progress, I just got completely fatigued from how long it was taking to get back to the main story. I never take breaks that long. If you can't even get past that boss in Remake, I don't think you're gonna get very far into Rebirth. It's a much harder game. Also, the Remake trilogy is very much meant for people that have already experienced the FF7 story, because it is not only completely different in how it's structured and told, but additionally there are characters from spinoff games and light novels that have been implanted into the story, which heavily change everything. Characters like Leslie and Kyrie are from light novels that came out over a decade after the original FF7. Every other character I could name would be a spoiler for the story. All I'm saying though is with the original game, you're getting a tight, beautiful story in 40 something hours as opposed to a mish-mashed 2/3rds of it in 130 hours. And that's coming from someone that LOVED Remake and mostly enjoyed Rebirth. You have got to at least get through the original FF7 to fully appreciate what they're doing in this Remake trilogy. It will be worth it.

i challenge you to use geography as little as possible in the next part. its way more interesting to avoid immediately looking for a country of origin for something, and uses way less clicks. my suggestions: Broly (Dragon Ball) -> Olive Garden Shankill Road Bombing -> Flying Fish Resident Evil 0 -> Hotel Rwanda Bassoon -> Drake Skibidi Toilet -> Barack Obama Sprees (candy) -> Thanos

Wow, an anime tier list where I don't find myself heavily disagreeing with half the list. The only ones that stood out to me, of the ones I've watched, is A Silent Voice and Chainsaw man both being a bit low personally, but with those I can at least understand why someone would put them on the lower side.

i think naoki urasawa's works are too advanced for the average high schooler. there's a reason why pretty simple books are used in teaching critical thinking and analysis, they are used to open your mind to subjects you might not normally engage with, and are used mainly with the idea of challenging you to form you own thoughts and interpretations on difficult topics. something like Monster is simply too high level for a 16 year old to fully appreciate, especially if it's their introduction to a medium such as manga. almost everybody at that young of an age needs to be slowly weened into stuff, find what they like in a medium, and they'll branch out eventually. you cant climb a mountain if you start at the peak. theres nothing to gain when you have no experience. im not sure if i would pick anything for manga being used as reading in school. you also have to think about the time it takes to get through a book in a semester in high school. a good month on average for a normal length book. now imagine that with a shonen manga for example. that would take forever to teach, read together in class, make activities/homework around. it would take too much time to even get started. you also have to factor in what might be deemed as inappropriate or distracting for students. you might be thinking about the complicated history of a character, most of the students are definitely just thinking of the fanservicey bits and nothing else. i remember my classmates eyes would light up when something problematic would happen in a book we had to read, it was all they were focused on in any book, or all they would remember about the book. but anyway, thats why the books that are used in high school english classes are so short. digestible, easy to teach in a short amount of time, but very layered. for manga, it would absolutely have to be a one-shot volume, not a giant 300+ chapter story.
