I love your house.
if i came across this on my trapline i would cut it up for firewood
@@buckweebit7357 not very nice
A big mistake not peeling your logs. Beetles will get in under the bark and eat holes all through the house. My brother in law did the same thing and all along the wall on the floor you will find saw dust.
Thanks for the advice! I didn't realize that would happen, I'll keep that in mind for next time.
don't see that to often lol😊✌
@erniescabin4256 no ! I was worried about the bull turning around on me but I had to get home lol
@@seedsoutdoors3721 When you were between the cow and calf your very lucky she didn't come after you, cow moose are way more danger than bulls, I think if it was day time she would have kicked the #%$& out of you lol
@@erniescabin4256 pretty crazy I would have had to hide in the Kubota
Great job man
@mikelowrey5275 thankyou, I appreciate it!
Like your design...this is one I could actually build except, I'd put in more windows.
@Keith19533 thankyou ! I tried to keep it simple and something anyone could make without getting all fancy!! Yeah there will be just 2 windows I'll see how that goes maybe I'll cut out a hole for another one on the side
❤❤❤🎉👍👍👍👍👈
I like the way you looked at a problem , and solved it. Your door looks great, keep building.
Thankyou! I really appreciate!
See Newest for replies, yt hides good conversations.
You will be a frozen popsicle without a heated, insulated cabin and door.
It's not done yet ! You may notice none of the cabin has been insulated yet
In winter you won't be able to open the door after it snows overnight. All cabin doors swing inside, as do all doors.
There will also be a 2 foot canopy over the front entrance so no snow will be able to build up at the door! I do appreciate the feedback though.
@@seedsoutdoors3721 I've been off grid almost 5 years, see my featured playlists and learn from their experience or suffer from a canopy that will not stop you from being trapped in the cabin after heavy snow storms, drifting snow. All the best for you preparing to survive overnight in da winter woods.
You must have 1 year old seasoned firewood to stay warm and alive, you need a few weeks of splitting wood and tarping it to last all winter. I see you have a house and probably live there full time. Don't be too anxious to go OFF-THE-GRID without doing the very necessary research and construction needed to survive alone.
@FuckALLauthorities I appreciate it ! This whole project will tske till probably next year to finish with work and everything, I'll check out your Playlist though
time to start making a few shorts! I got one of my dad thats going viral right now! its a great way to draw attention to your channel and get subs...
Oh awesome !! I'll try to start putting one together! I'll check out your video
Hello, MNR will take it down if they find it, you might even get a fine lol not a good idea to put the cabin on here, good luck😊✌
I know I'm taking a bit of a gamble, but I haven't seen fish and feathers in that area before and I've been hunting there for years
@@seedsoutdoors3721 Others you have to watch for if your on someones trap line or if your on a mining claim I subed to your channel just to see what happens lol i hope you let us know take care ✌

@michaelmoore8582 no this is just on crown land, I am also just using dead fall.
Good job :) You have the best holiday in the world unfolding right there ! 👍 enjoy your trip my friend "
Thankyou !! I have big plans for this build that will eventually unfold !
Looks like your having fun! Good work
@@sandysedens7065 thankyou!
Hello. Starting to come together. And for your first cabin. Your plan is working well. I would using Moss will work out great when you get it done. And I would use it as your chinking are insulation before you chink the walls and the joints It will keep help with keeping you warm in the winter . Me and my son are looking forward to seeing your next update video.
@@TimandLiamsEastcoastkoillc thankyou for your advice !! I also really appreciate you watching !!
@@seedsoutdoors3721 you're welcome bud. Me and my son sit here love watching off-grid DIY videos cabin building exedra. And we really like your old school / frontier cabin. And we're going to watch along your adventure and see how your progress is.
@timothyalanogrady thats awesome!! It's definitely something I have always wanted to do and since I have had time lately it's nice to finally get done ! I have a lot of plans I will be building a bathroom, a shower would be cool and also a tree stand to hunt off of.
@@seedsoutdoors3721 it's always good to get instructions on your off-grid property and if you're going to do a outhouse / bathhouse you can always get a cheap propane hot water converter off of Amazon for like 150 bucks and stuff like that. But the one thing I don't know if you have water on that property but that's a necessary element for off-grid specially for your infrastructure because it stinks to carry water in but you can always do a small rain catching system too. Where in the process of buying land up in Maine and moving out in New Jersey I actually live in the pine barrens here in New Jersey so I love the woods. And another good instruction to do for their homestead is a greenhouse and a permaculture garden to be able to sustain yourself. Takes time. But you'll get there and the biggest part about this is as you go along you learn different things you make some mistakes step back think about it and move forward and learn from the mistakes. Read books on the subject of off-grid in homesteading. Knowledge is power especially when you're living off grid well you have a blessed night buddy
It's coming along nicely, Good work!
@@KrisBeckler thankyou !! Appreciated!
Get part 2 done, snows coming lmao you gonna build a fire place in there?
@@CTG93 haha eventually !!
Good job Bud ! Looking good it will be ready for hunting season ! 👍Might have to put a center post to support the roof for the snow load if you get much in your parts :) Lots of moss around to insulate around the bottom" satay safe out there
Thamkyou ! I was thinking of adding some bracing to the roof I'll have to see though there is quite the canopy of trees aswell so it's hard to tell hoe much snow there will be coming onto the roof but yeah might have to go with a center post
Looks like a cabin boss
@randymiller1604 that's the hope !!
Did you buy the land? How many acres?
@@AlistairPope no this is just crown land in one of my hunting spots

Brutal! There is nothing worse than the pain of losing a big fish !
@@seedsoutdoors3721 yeah, still doesn’t compare to what you catch though cause I think I’d retire after losing a pike the size of the ones you catch 😂😂
@Gage.C haha ! I've lost a few and it takes atleast a week to get over it and even then everytime you tell the story after that you get sad all over again.
@@seedsoutdoors3721 good point 😂😔

Nice work guys, never sight fished before, I'm too worried someone would walk by next day and fall in...even I'd I mark the hole lol
We fil the hole with snow and mark it with the temperatures we have been having I think someone could walk on. Might be an idea for a video !
awesome man thanks for sharing
Your welcome I'm glad you enjoyed !
Nice lil trout! If you plan on releasing them, keep in mind you should ALWAYS wet your hands FIRST before handling trout, not doing so removes vital, protective slime from their bodies making them more prone to sickness and disease. #TIGHTLINES !!
