On a 3-day trip to Jersey Channel Islands in mid-October, the weather was not kind but just about managed some filming. The last time I visited Jersey Zoo was some 40 years ago and since then so many changes , it had just rained on my visit and thus not many animals to see but a great attraction .

AEROSPACE FILTON

Just outside Bristol in the west of England is Filton home to Concorde and other aircraft built there. The day was miserable so it was a good time to visit this museum, also there was a talk from a member of staff about the Bristol Brabazon the luxury airliner with onboard cinema, cocktail bar, and luxurious lounge celebrating 75 years. Unfortunately, I could not film this talk due to batteries...

A few days stay in Jersey ,Channel Islands late July 2024,the weather was hit or miss but still enjoyed it . I have visited Jersey many times and it was my first time to walk to Corbiere Lighthouse as filmed plus a first time to Beauport Beach which at the time of filming the tide was turning so I should think when the tide is low its very popular.

Hi mate, such a lovely location. I thoroughly enjoyed the video!
@@thereluctantoutdoorsman Thanks Tom they say it's the most romantic place to walk, didn't work for me 😭 but lot's of Chinese tourists there.👍
Hi Lloyd, great video of an absolutely gorgeous place! I really enjoyed this one!
Hi Tom , they did not let anyone do alot of filming there inside the castle as some places have been used by Kings and Queens of past and present plus it is still a residence for the family . Anyone can stay there as they have made one part into apartments (pricey) the church had alot of history plus the famous have got married in there . Could not be bothered to walk around the grounds as it was massive , in the guide it said allow 2 hours so gave that a miss, I dont believe in ghosts but in one area called The Haunted Staircase I did come over all cold and felt a presence following me 👻👻👻yes the next day I felt rotten with flu and the presence was 2 Japanese young ladies was behind me going down the staircase😁😁last time I went there was 18 years ago but anyone interested in history you could spend all day there .
Hi Lloyd, I just noticed that you had put the Jersey video up. Nice one mate.............I thoroughly enjoyed it! The bust on the first tee at Royal Jersey Golf Club is of Tommy Horton, who was head pro at Royal Jersey for many years. The missing plaque on the base (which lists his many achievements in professional golf) is being replaced with a new one, which will not tarnish. Well done!
Hiya Tom the bust at first tee soon to be replaced by Jersey,s famous and well known film maker and You Tube vlogger 🤫🤫again not the best of days for filming but still enjoy it everytime. And I will keep coming until the weather is better . Cheers👌
Thanks for highlighting the Cotswolds. Lots of undiscovered places to explore
@@richardsoper777 Thanks for watching 👍 unfortunately my battery was low and would like to have done more around the village.
My favourite Cotswold village. Counting down to my next English trip. Guaranteed to visit.
@@colinlatham7905 It was my first visit and although I live in the Cotswolds it really impressed me.
Nice ❤🎉🎉 and subscribe
Lovely video! Shame about the music would have been better to hear the train?
Hi, I applied music as lots of public talking, I agree it is always nice to hear the sound of the train, and in parts, you can hear. Note taken for next time👌
Hi Lloyd, Cornwall looks great mate and interesting facts at the end. Nice video my friend! 👍
Thanks Tom I had to edit out the bit where I went down on my backside and a view of the sky I blame the Cornish Pasty and bottle of Rattlers cider😄 bruises come up so easy nowadays.
Hi Lloyd, Wow! Some spectacular footage and boy you got around the island a bit! I really like the footage of the walk out to the lighthouse! I recorded a walk with Paddy a couple of days ago from Corbiere to the end of St. Ouen's bay and we walked to the rocks above the walkway but didn't cross over. I wish we would have now, as your footage looked so good........so I'll definitely go back another day and mimic your trip. The drone footage was spectacular and it is clear from the St. Brelades church footage that the DJI is much better in low light than my GoPros! Nice video mate! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@thereluctantoutdoorsman Thanks Tom, it could have been better but still learning with pocket 2 settings and the drone flying was restricted by the wind.
I forgot to add drone footage of Bouley Bay that will be done as a short vid.
Hi Matey 👍as we get old and more forgetful and dafter 😂we tend to do things unknown to us until too late 😂.I use a Dji Pocket 2 and it has a external microphone with sound muffler attached but on many occasions I just use the internal microphone and turn off.I use Capcut editing software which I normally cut the audio out,I dread to think if using the mics that there could be alot of gibberish language come out 😁🤪.So now I will have a checklist made for future vids to remind me beforehand what equipment and settings to set up . No golf 🏌️today weather is sunny then heavy showers so a day of not alot. Perhaps looking at You Tube for tips on video editing and sorting out a holiday to Thailand later in the year. All the very best Lloyd 👍👍👍
Hi Lloyd, Wow! Absolutely stunning locations! Was it windy out there, or what? If you haven't already got a dead cat I'd get hold of one, as it makes the wind a lot easier on the ear. I bought a full size one and cut it up to fit my camera.......I think it will do me for the next fifty years (until I'm 115!).
Hi Lloyd, I really enjoyed the video mate. Lovely scenery which made me wonder why I have never been to Cornwall! I thought I had posted a comment yesterday after a few beers but probably didn't hit the send button! Doh! 😁
Shame it was windy I would have put the drone up and got some really nice views.Still there will be other times finger's crossed 🤞
Apologies for the abrupt ending I do not understand why it finished with about 5 minutes more of the cove .
It's amazing how many of these little cargo ships find their way to this inland port God bless all who sail on them.
There is a lot of skill with turning 180 degrees on a incoming tide to enter into the dock entrance.Thank You for your comment.
Nice video
Thank you I'm happy you enjoyed it.
Great videos
Thank you , I am glad you enjoyed them but trying to improve the filming .More to come in the near future especially when the Tall Ships start arriving for a festival.
Wow! That was great to see! Not only the Flying Scotsman........the modern train looked amazing as well!
Hi Tom it was a lovely sight to see the famous train thunder through the station , and the smell of steam and smoke always reminds me as when a young child sticking my head out the windows and getting covered in bits from the chimney.😁😁
👍👍👍👌
So glad you enjoyed this video 👍👍
