Sanitaire SC-679K Unboxing and vacuuming ,
OK, I decided to get myself a brand new sanitaire vacuum because I thought I figured I’d give them a go and , I will just say this is a very powerful vacuum cleaner does a great job and for an affordable price this is much better than those Walmart vacuum cleaners, you buy , for the same amount of money if not more.

Weird engine...but this is early Honda OHV.
nice sanitaire tristan and you haven't done any vacuum videos for a while now but im glad that your back
Is it rare i found one at my local good will
@@roob-e3e i wouldn’t say that they are rare but they are older model weather radios.
@@Tristanblair2000 ok thanks 😊👍😊👍
That fan strobing the chrome...cool.
From gas to electric, know to reel mower, most people will believe i am going back in steps but i believe i moving forward, whom needs a gym membership when got this. LoL
@@TheBook500 haha right they do a good too don’t they? sometimes older is better.
Just got done cutting my yard with one I rescued from the curb. Awesome mower, really does a nice job!
@@mjg263 yeah they definitely do
@@Tristanblair2000 wish I could find one of those mulching plates. Mine came with the bag adaptor but no bag, so I bought a used “sawed off” side chute that works great - I just have to make sure not to aim it at people or cars lol!
IMHO, the best Honda mower ever produced. Rescued my first one from the trash 15 years ago and been using it ever since. I now have 3 and a bunch of spare parts. Clean the carb every 2 years and change the oil twice a season and no reason mine won't live another 40 years.
I love the HRS-21 . It’s quiet and cuts very well . My best make it possible for me to acquire this mower . I plane to keep until I can’t fix it anymore.
Great vintage mower. Instead of letting it idle to cool off, turn off the gas and let it run dry. This will let it cool down and also keep the carb from clogging up from fuel sitting in it.
@@billdeblaey6078 thank for the info I’ll try it
My aunt had one exactly like this. It really had great station pulling power with the tuned RF stage. She lived in Minnesota and passed it on to one of my cousins who still has it.
I would treat the wood with linseed oil. I have one from the 1970s and after time, the wood gets a rich color to it but not dark and keeps it from splitting. Just put it on and let it dry overnight. Then keep applying every few days until it wont absorb anymore. You'll love the shine and color and it makes it waterproof. Enjoyed this video, might get one. Wish the specs were mentioned like dimensions and weight.
@@cefarther3945 that’s what I’m going to do so It don’t rot
tristan can you do a house vacuuming video with the all original kirby 505?
After using both do you have a preference?
I think they are both great mowers.
Thank you so much.
No problem glad to help. I’d give this one a try
Thank you. I’ve been interested in this one to replace my 14” Scott’s mower. I’m just wondering if the handle will warp being out in the shed. But like you said, maybe some water seal will help.
This is definitely a nice mower with a classic vintage look. And if it’s in a humid environment, I would definitely recommend putting a seal on the handle just in case it does warp. Wouldn’t hurt to put extra protection on it , because I’m not sure if these handles are pre-treated or not I’m gonna assume if they aren’t.
What do you do with cuttings? Do you recommend raking once cut?
@@brendaelliott9767 If you want to a reel mower It’s best to month pretty frequently. You really want to cut a little bit off the grass they’re not like your lawnmower if you mow pretty regularly you really don’t even have to rake your grass, but they do make a grass catcher for these mowers.
I still use my great gradfathers one till this day, nothing can beat MADE IN USA.
You’re absolutely right on that . They me things to last
Cut between the two should be the same if both are set up the same and sharp. Sounds like the blades may be a tad too tight to the bed knife. Cool new mowers that look like the old ones from back in the day.
They were but after I used it a couple times it loosened right up . I guess it had to break In .
Finally I found it! I’ve been waiting for a video on this mower I wanted to get. Thank you much for being the first to do it!
I haven’t seen any other videos on this one ether. It’s actually a nice mower too .
Back in the 1960's I mowed with a 1940's reel mower. Cast iron with a wooden handle like this one. Extremely heavy.
I’ve owned several old reel mowers. What I’ve learned is that if your blades are nice and sharp and they are sharpened and adjusted correctly they work really well and they’re not hard to push at all . They’re just about as easy as these newer ones, of course the older one are made better and weigh a lot more . But you really don’t wanna let your grass get too tall if you’re gonna use one of these because then it’ll be really hard and take a long time to cut the grass but if you stay on top of it, I think it delivers the best cut.
Nice video. Nice seeing them both in action. Thanks!
I yeah love both the them . You should get one and try it out . It gives you a more old school feel
This just makes me miss CRS Tom, Donna and old Paul more.
The little whine it made 😂
It’s pretty loud too . It’s a “WeatherAlert” TA-45

What do those angles mean? What is this? My name is igor belevich . I am 40. I live in belarus. I listen to analog sw,mw-am radio sony icf 704 s. I received several north american christian radio stations on sw 31 meter band, and sw and mw stations from other countries in belarus. On mw ,am i cannot receive stations from usa ,unfortunately. Can you write letters to any american am stations and ask them to broadcast on am to belarus? Or is it impossible? I can receive usa only on sw in belarus. In 2001,more than 20 years ago i heard more sw,mw,am stations. Most stopped broadcasting, unfortunately.
Are you talking about the 2 triangles between “60 and 70” and between “110 and 130” ? If so, those were the old civil defense frequencies that were used in the 50s and early 60s in the event of like a nuclear attack. Apparently, if there was like an attack on United States. You would tune your radios to 640 or 1240.
Hello! I'm an arts student working on an audio soundscape assignment. Would it be alright if I used your recording of this radio transmission as part of it? It would be purely for academic use, and would not be uploaded elsewhere.
I picked one of these up a few years ago to go through, but it works so well already, I'm probably going to just leave it alone. Very hot on reception! I'd dare say it's my most sensitive radio, and yes..its HEAVY! Laughably heavy for something portable. My chrome is a bit pitted but overall in the same shape..and color. That squeal you're getting is something else on that same frequency that's causing a beat frequency to appear. By turning it, you are nulling out the unwanted one since AM is rather directional. My guess is it's something in your house (power supply, LED bulbs...etc..) or another station. You could "sniff" it out with a radio, or try going outside away from the building your in to rule out inside interference or if it's a weaker station underneath the louder one. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, this radio is absolutely phenomenal for picking up stuff especially at night
I've enjoyed these model radios for over forty years. Excellent quality. They also made and AM/FM. version with similar build quality. Thanks for sharing
I really would like to get the AM/FM version of this. I love this radio a lot.

Nope . I’m surprised I was getting WXK-27 because normally I don’t get it

Hey dude, if there is ever severe weather in the WNG649 area you should also try recording EAS alerts off of that station no matter what office the alert is from. I understand you want to make EAS alerts on your area station (WXK35) but you should also try make more EAS alerts on WNG649 no matter if the alert is from the Fort Worth, Austin/San Antonio, or Houston/Galveston (League City) offices (kind of how I do it). You should try doing that later on especially since your the only EAS UA-camr who lives near the WNG649 area. What do you think?
I think I can start doing that before I am stuck between 2 noaa wether stations

Was this the tornado?
Indeed it was .
Did you know these past 3 years they have improved the locations the voice says on this station?
I haven’t herd of that
@@Tristanblair2000 it’s true because back then the voice used to say Bryan-College Station (not only on this station but other DFW stations), but now it just says College Station, and the location Austin uses to come after the location Bryan-Collage Station, it was not part of the elsewhere around the region locations but today now Austin is part of the elsewhere around the region locations. They also added in 2 new locations called Caldwell (the location that comes after Collage Station) and the second one is Taylor (the location that comes before Georgetown). This station’s location makes a lot more sense now because back then the locations didn’t make that much sense, mainly because of how the location Austin wasn’t park of the elsewhere around the region locations when that place is more than 1 hour from Cameron, compared to Waco is only 59 minutes away from Cameron and that location is part of the elsewhere around the region locations when Waco is a lot closer to Cameron than Austin. But now the locations are a lot better because it talks about the locations only from what counties it covers or what other areas are close to Cameron.
