An eminent mechanical engineer said to me 13 years ago...... I would keep clear of water because fuel can absorb it can't it? I took his advice since then & kept well clear of any water near my biodiesel. I have leant a lot of lessons since that time & find that patience is most definitely a virtue and the word most prevalent is meticulous. This when getting rid of glycerol = the biodiesel makers enemy. Bio Lyle long ago said bubbling works but we don't know why it does work! It works!
And from me Thanks ...
thanks
NaOH and water wash at that time, now i use sodium methylate and water wash
Odd that there is no emulsion layer in the middle, consider you vigorously shook it up! And your biodiesel is pretty opaque. I can see through mine, and all I do is let is settle for a couple weeks or more. I wonder if you use potassium hydroxide instead, and that has something to do with the lack of emulsion? Weird.
wow man I'm surprised your fuel is clean!! how's your proces?? can yu mail me?? luigyrdk3@hotmail.com regards!!
