Jungle as a genre draws heavily from reggae’s rhythmic elements, such as the prominent basslines, offbeat rhythms, and syncopated drum patterns. Many early jungle tracks sampled reggae songs, utilizing iconic reggae basslines and vocal samples, which became integral to the jungle sound 🇯🇲
