We'll spend a month living in Grassington, our favorite Yorkshire village, but will also visit York, Whitby, Robins Hood Bay, Middleham, Hawes, and other small villages. We're really looking forward to being in Grassington for the 1940's weekend in September. We will sail from Galveston to Southampton in March and back to Galveston in October. We visited Hawaii in February and went whale watching in Oahu with @bobmarlincharters7709. In July, we were in Alaska and Canada and went whale watching again. In both locations, you'll see the whales fin slapping and doing graceful dives, but in Canada, we saw breaching, bubble feeding and found an incredible feeding site just outside of Prince Rupert in British Columbia. Aw, Billy, we sure thank you for sticking with us. It's quite a year ahead!
wow nice
It's going to be an amazing year!!
Sounds so exciting for 2025, wishing you both the most wonderful year possible! Sounds so exciting to do the Princess cruise, it docks at Southampton near us down south in Portsmouth, great to hear you'll experience Beaulieu, it's a stunning place. Cannot wait to see your adventures around Europe too, some incredible experiences incoming! Love that you're going to reconnect with your students, that's a fantastic idea and really beautiful too!! 2025 sounds so jam packed, it's going to be one to remember! The 1940s weekend sounds so fun in Grassington. Such exciting travel plans, looking forward to following your journey. All the best for 2025! x
You guys are just the best. Jenn seriously has a full on "thing" going for Beaulieu. She keeps trying to sneak in extra days there. We left Grassington 5 days before the 1940's weekend last year. No way we're missing it in 2025. We've already started working on our fancy dress outfits. And the kids. Seeing all the kids is long overdue. We did a quick tour two years ago and were able to connect with a bunch of them, but we always want more!!
I live there, it's alright.
We love your hometown! Did we miss anything?!?
We will be joining you at the end of july on the ship. We cruised the british isles and norway last summer and loved all the places.
We are both excited for this cruise. Many of the ports are familiar, but some of the remote islands will be new for us. We'll definitely have to connect on board!!
@welltravelledlife that would be great!
Looks like some amazing adventures you have planned ahead! Lofoten is highly spoken of by everyone who visits there, but there are so many other amazing locations along your route. Europe looks forward to having you back on this side of the pond! 🙂
I'm going to send you the day by day itinerary and see if there's any way you can fit in a connection somewhere along the way.
@@welltravelledlife Thank you! Much of my schedule for 2025 remains unclear as of yet, but if there were to prove to be a possible connection point later, that would be great!
❤❤
A million thanks. It was quite a year!
Couldn't agree more with the amazing sights you've visited over the year. Thank you for the wonderful video recapping some of your most incredible experiences. Merry Christmas!!
We definitely hit some winners. We'll return to a few and continue to discover new locations to love!
Beautiful place to visit thanks for the tour Merry Christmas
We had so many amazing highlights. Was there one place or activity that stood out to you?
Wow, mom and I have been very blessed to be involved in so much of this awesome year! It's wonderful to see this... thanks so much!
It’s been a pretty special year and we’re happy we got to share it with you! What would your highlights have been? Either ones we all shared, or ones you did on your own?
You've been on some amazing adventures! One would think that I'd highlight the kayaking parts as obviously the most interesting, but one must admit the bear sightings top it all (and the helicopter ride seemed pretty "top" as well)! Happy holidays and best wishes from Sweden, and wish you the best for the adventures in 2025!
The glacier kayaking was a highlight for me - for sure. But if I had to compare, you're right. The bears, the sled dogs and the whales were stars!! But I also have to say that English villages, and Scottish drives rank up there too. We're eager to find a way to include you in the 2025 highlight video!
@@welltravelledlife Having missed the bears would have been unbearable. But good that the whales were awhaleable, and the sled dogs seem like good travel dogtrine to me. Would be nice to join forces for 2025 adventures if possible!
Hi Jennifer, Liliana here
I always wonder which videos stick with you and that you watch more than once. This is one of my favorites because meeting Patrick and his friends made Stockholm feel so much more accessible. We returned to Stockholm and had an evening of beer tasting at an old church that had been converted into a microbrewery. It was just a fabulous night and has cemented that friendship.
You started the video with a fat lie... It was a good try ....but sorry NO.....even if was a funny one. 2:14 "...this tunnel is a 150 km long..." ...what...did I hear right...??? Sorry there does not exist such a thing. The world's longest road tunnel exist in Norway ....and it's named Lærdalstunnelen....and it is 24,5 km long. 2:18 "....it was the first BRIDGE IN THE WORLD TO GO UNDER THE OCEAN....". Haha ...I think that such an invention has yet to be realised ...anywhere. I know that the people in Ålesund area are nationally famous for being forward leaning ....grabbing whatever they can get their hands on....and no they are not the world. The first under-the-sea tunnel in Norway ....and the world is to be found in Vardø in the very north eastern corner of Norway. The tunnel was opened in 1982. There is nothing "dangerous" about the driving (as such) on Trollstigen ...only a bit of common sense is needed. Only if people are brain dead and do not pay any attention to what they are doing might cause problem for the traffic flow. There are a danger ...not mentioned in the video....and that is the danger of avalanches/rock slides down the very steep mountain side. Specially during heavy rain. Before the season 2024 there were a serious rock avalanche. After that the road has remained closed.
Humpback whales galore! A great experience. Well done 👍. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day 😀.
It was pretty spectacular! Jenn says her only regret was not having a wetsuit and being able to jump in with them.
Those noises!
They were so loud! Total barkers, groaners, belchers!!
thats nice my friend *thumbs up👍Au💯full view always*
Oh my gosh, you should have smelled them! The barking and groaning was cacophonous! We couldn't help but laugh at them.
❤💪
I had to do a lot of audio editing here! We were all screaming and yelling the whole time! Such a magical experience!!
❤❤❤
I caught Jenn watching this (again!) last night. She falls asleep watching those beautiful creatures. It's very sweet.
Oh my!! ❤❤❤❤❤
We're glad we aren't the only ones that thought the wildlife that day was absolutely amazing!🤯🙃😲
cool going whale watching *🥸fully viewed🤖Au🦘☑thumbs up👍👍*
They are mesmerizing. I remember times where you had to get out the binoculars are peer through them to see if that really was a spout - or just a moving cloud. These two days in Hawaii and Canada the whales were everywhere and were doing such extraordinary things!
What a day! The whales, the eagles, the sea lions…and the views!
By the end of the day, I was absolutely exhausted. There had been so much excitement throughout the entire day! As we were editing, we had to cut out all of the screaming. This was special. Even Captain Jack left us saying he'd never seen so much activity by so many whales. Happy, happy heart with this video!!!
What an incredible experience you managed to capture! This was a beautiful video, wonder captures of the Whales!! wow!! Enjoyed this chilled video, thank you!
This is a video I could fall asleep to. The whales are mesmerizing.
stunning scenes there my friend *thumbs up👍Au💯full view always*
As I was editing, I had to mute all of our screams! There was so much action, I was just throwing my camera around trying to catch everything.
Nice capture of the wilderness
Oh my gosh! Hard to take bad pics. Animals were everywhere and being so bold!
I love the decor on the tree's, I'm from Eidfjord and it is really beautifull there ❤
We love your hometown! The tree art was fabulous - whimsical and very creative. This part of Norway is always stunning. We're heading back this coming summer!
@welltravelledlife hope you have an awsome time there 👍❤️
What a day you had! The views are magnificent and the digs and puppies are too fun! Those dogs!
No shortage of cuteness! The dogs were such goers. I can't imagine how you would manage all that energy if you didn't give them a job. These are the days we remember.
We have never been dog sledding or to Alaska! Wow!! We were up in the Glaciers of Canada and the snow and sun is so bright-- seeing your video reminded me of how bright that sun on snow is. Such a beautiful contrast between the blue blue and white. This was a fun video- nice interviews and commentary. We are just finding your channel and its great! 🎉🎉
And Daisy is a cute addition to their dogs 😅 these dogs are not what I would expect for sled dogs at all but they are cute!
We're so happy you found our channel! We had some pretty exceptional experiences in Alaska and Canada this summer. The dog sledding was certainly unique, but doing it up on the glacier really made it feel authentic and like we were seriously a part of daily training and the dogs weren't just a part of the tourist industry.
Enjoy your ride
Thanks so much Zach! It was a fabulous flight up to the top of the glacier and we had an exceptional experience dog sledding up there.
@@welltravelledlife Awesome.
Wow, what an incredible experience! The combination of dog sledding on a glacier and the stunning views of Alaska’s icy landscapes is absolutely magical. The footage really captures the serenity and adventure of the moment, makes me want to add this to my bucket list immediately. Such a unique and breathtaking journey! ❄🐾✨
Appreciate your very kind comment. It was a spectacular day and definitely warrants a space on your bucket list!
German Shepherd? Next time try a Malinois or a Rhodesian Ridgeback 🤔
I think her point was that there were a variety of breeds and mixes that could work on a team.
@welltravelledlife Ridgeback, they hate the cold 😉
Peter is remembered fondly in his home town of Neath and by those who knew him through New Maria Congregational Church. Our prayer are with Peter’s family.
We loved his Welch-ness and are so sorry for the loss to those who've known him much longer than we ever did.
cool dog sledding adventure looks quite an experience too *🥸fully viewed🤖Au🦘☑thumbs up👍👍*
Considering we didn't even think we'd get to go, it turned out to be an amazing day! The flight was as gorgeous as the sledding.
Any people live in Port Lincoln
There definitely are. It's got a really pretty little town.
@I live in Lincoln
@@CharlotteLugg You'e one of the lucky ones!
Amazing adventure. Also here in Ilulissat we have a lot of sledge dogs,
We'll be coming to Ilulissat this summer. We'd love any tips!
Such a dramatic shot!
It was real dram! You guys are probably all ho hum, bears chasing each other, big deal. But for us, that's the bucket list stuff!!!
Great shot if the bear standing up in the Lupine!
Eric handled us so well. He never let us feel fear. He very nonchalantly explained that the bear just wanted a better perspective. He was in no way being intimidating or establishing dominance. He could have been peeing his pants scared, but we never felt it.
That’s a beautiful bear! 🐻
Those feet!!! Such a healthy looking coat, sweet face and big feet!!!
You guys are ROCK STARS!! Love this!! ❤❤ Tracie Arwood Parson 9:40pm in Texas
Wow! Not sure what we did to deserve rock star status, but we're grateful for the shout out! Thank you so much!
And if this is Jennifer's Tracie, she says, "Awww!!! A million thanks and sending so much love!!!!!!" What great memories she has of working with you!
New subbie! ❤
Thanks so much for being here. Hope you enjoy our view of the world.
Æ bor i Trondheim❤
Fabulous city!
While we all appreciate and love seeing the animals. Folks, please be careful and keep a safe distance as not to disturb any animal. I seen several videos of people getting way too close. 🤔
That is obviously such good advice. I hope you caught the full video of our day where you'll get a much better sense of our distances. There was a point where two bears r chased each other and came close to a group of photographers. In this instance, as soon as we saw the bear, we stopped, gave it wide berth and allowed it to walk away from us.
Hi, Jonathan & Jennifer Just viewed your piece on Molde: Norway's Hidden Gem. We will be in port during a Princess Cruise on June 27, 2025. We would like to pretty much duplicate your trip with Erik, your taxi driver. Do you have a way that we can get in touch with Erik directly ? I did see a phone number for the Taxi Company on the photo that you took of the taxi, but would sure appreciate a direct method of contact with Erik such as email, cell number and/or WhatsApp.
We really want to thank you. Erik was superb and we wish we could give you better contact info. We will be back in Molde this summer and are trying to connect with him again. If we reach him, we'll be sure and get a more direct number or an e-mail and we'll add it to the description and we'll post it here. Have you watched our videos from Alesund? Knut was our driver there and he was fantastic. If you schedule ahead of time with him, he could probably do a similar trip. His contact info is in the description for both of our Alesund videos because we've worked with multiple times.
Thank you for the journey back…to remember this loving wonderful man. His impact on this world must be enormous. So grateful to have been in his presence.
Did you cry. I cry every time I watch this. I'm so grateful you took me to church.
I can see me watching this video when I want to remember this man. Thank you!!! ❤
I just watched it again. To remember.
@@joaskins5986 Ive gone back a couple times too. I'm so glad to have this.

When the weather gets bad, we get to a brewery!!
cool a nice Island to visit to explore the beers my kind of place cheers *thumbs up👍Au💯full view always*
Yeah, we felt right at home. And that stout...it really was rapturous!!
Wow, what an awesome vibe at Kodiak Island Brewing! 🍻 I love how you captured the local feel of the place. The Rapture mocha stout sounds incredible! I appreciate your tips for finding the brewery! Kodiak looks like such a unique place.👌👍
We really love finding a place that feels local and speaks to the community. The brewery is putting out some pretty incredible beers - and the place just feels like fun. Definitely a cool town!
We love a good beer as well. I love a good dark beer and German beer types.
That stout was a total win. We both like dark beers, Jennifer loves a Hefeweizen and Jonathan is a Pilsner guy.
@@welltravelledlife Yes Hefeweizen is so nice when we were in Munich, we had some Hefeweizen beers from Pualaner and Franziskaner
@@Wyldfamilytravel Oh yeah, those are two of Jennifer's favorites!!
Very, very cool! Saw a couple of bears today, but they were much lazier and in an enclosure..
Seeing them in the wild living their lives is so different - and so cool. I was amazed at how much they were aware of us, but totally left us alone.
@@welltravelledlife Amazing :)
Incredible observations of grizzlies in the wild! Precious footage ✨ 👍
Thank you so much for your very kind comment. This is the "once in a lifetime" footage that we're so excited to share!!
Such a cool encounter!!!
The entire day was incredible. More action than we expected - and WAY closer than he expected!!!
