That is obviously such good advice. I hope you caught the full video of our day where you'll get a much better sense of our distances. There was a point where two bears r chased each other and came close to a group of photographers. In this instance, as soon as we saw the bear, we stopped, gave it wide berth and allowed it to walk away from us.

We really want to thank you. Erik was superb and we wish we could give you better contact info. We will be back in Molde this summer and are trying to connect with him again. If we reach him, we'll be sure and get a more direct number or an e-mail and we'll add it to the description and we'll post it here. Have you watched our videos from Alesund? Knut was our driver there and he was fantastic. If you schedule ahead of time with him, he could probably do a similar trip. When the weather gets bad, we get to a brewery!!

Yeah, we felt right at home. And that stout...it really was rapturous!!

We really love finding a place that feels local and speaks to the community. The brewery is putting out some pretty incredible beers - and the place just feels like fun. Definitely a cool town!

That stout was a total win. We both like dark beers, Jennifer loves a Hefeweizen and Jonathan is a Pilsner guy.

@@welltravelledlife Yes Hefeweizen is so nice when we were in Munich, we had some Hefeweizen beers from Pualaner and Franziskaner

Seeing them in the wild living their lives is so different - and so cool. I was amazed at how much they were aware of us, but totally left us alone.

I love it when we can see wildlife up close in their natural environment. You guys don't have any bears at all, so these big guys are totally foreign. Jenn's always loved koalas, but they aren't really bears!

In some ways, it's a pretty simple life. Eat, sleep and scratch seems to be the norm! Love it when you leave comments here!

There's a new video coming out this evening that is a compilation of lots of our bear footage. Jenn was having so much fun with the music!

He was a tremendous man. His loss is profound.

East as compared to Glasgow, but west of John O'Groats. But it's definitely true that as visitors, we don't always catch on to how locals perceive and describe their location. We hope we didn't make any other big blunders!

This one was for the books! The standoffs were so cool to watch. The chase got a little close for comfort - but no one panicked.

This is probably our favorite video so far because it may have been our favorite experience so far!!

Our lives are so full of learning - and there's so much more to come. This was an absolutely exceptional experience. Not just because of what we saw, but just as you've noted, what we learned! This was a crash course in bear behavior for sure!!

The drone has become a huge part of our journey. We are getting to see and show a different perspective which has been so cool. Jonathan is the total drone master!

This stay really helped us see that we could live in a relatively small space and be perfectly happy. The village becomes our second living room.

It's a great cottage in a darling town.

Nothing's perfect but few cruises are terrible. We just got off the Regal Princess after a pretty rocky transatlantic crossing. But it was still a lovely time.

Oh Anita! This is definitely a really special location! The down, the region, and that apartment. Donna did a spectacular job outfitting it.

This has been one of our favorite places to stay. Lots to do all around, and the apartment is just perfect for us!

It really is a free for all on that morning. The monument will have regular opening hours that day, but the early morning you could park in the visitor center lot and walk over. If you're trying to be there by sunrise, allow enough time to park and walk the mile to the monument.

Anita, you would really enjoy the views and the walks here. We have just fallen in love with the Dales and will be back again next summer.

We were really struggling with the drone because the winds were so wild. But gosh it was fun and yes, just perfect photo ops.

Mark runs a cracking guest house. And the town is absolutely charming. I love that you make Bakewell tarts. How can you not want to visit a town that's become famous for its pastries?!?!

I've heard that Trollstigen has been closed for repairs due to some rock slides. And I'd definitely worry about the weather in October. But, Knut's contact information is in the details of this video and you can reach out to him and he'll let you know if it's open or not. And if it isn't, he'll have good ideas about alternatives. Mark was such a delightful host. And those dogs! We loved getting our hands on pets again. We miss that part of our old life. Hope you're doing well and getting ready for the seasons to change.
