    • @manda0531

      The beans absorb most all of the water. I did de-bubble, just didn’t film it. 😊 They always turn out perfect!

  • @1171

    Have you ever had lids you heard seal as they cooled the bubbles 🫧 would bubble up and checking the receipt to see if you had missed something and nothing was wrong with the processing we looked at the hard work we’d just worked on I removed the rings and I recognized the seal was no longer sealed a few kept the sealed lid but because of the bubbles coming from the bottom of the Ball jar and I don’t believe I have ever seen anything like it. I know the bean soup was still good we remove the beans from the jars and put them in freezer containers and placed them each in a plastic container and mark them and they were cool we placed in freezer and kept a quart of beans soup to eat later on in the day. But was the lid seal on the top defective or was something else wrong it is delicious but we had wanted them in jars and as we pondered it the only thing we could figure out was failure of ball seal lid. I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ if I have ever had a sealed jar become unsealed from a long canning career. Would any of you know why this happened but ball lid seal failure? Thanks for the information!

    Looks delicious. I want to try your recipe, but am much lazier than you.I plan to slice my cabbage and cook it in the stove top with diced or thinly sliced onion. Next short cut to reduce the oven time will be that I am planning to use shredded potatoes, maybe even frozen hash browns! Thank you for stirring my imagination. Diverting from the original recipe is such fun.

At 1 minute and 25 seconds I explained that I am adding pectin (and show the bottle) to the blackberry preserves because I purchased these blackberries from the store and they are extra ripe, unlike more unripened blackberries that contains more pectin! Good luck with your preserves! :)

      They are about an inch or so mashed together at bottom but I don’t know if I would use this method again as I had seal failure they sealed immediately and they were all but two unsealed so I must purchase the tattler seal’s. I don’t want to trust ruining the hard work of a days work!

    • @manda0531
      @manda0531 3 роки тому

      No, I rinsed and looked the peas after shelling and then one final rinse before blanching for 3 minutes. Directly scooped from blanching to jars. Fill the jars up with boiling water before processing! :)

    Is the final product solid and useable like regular butter or does it have to be chilled before use?

    • @manda0531
      @manda0531 3 роки тому

      It’s a solid, once I open a jar, I keep in the refrigerator but it doesn’t “melt” if left out for any period of time, it just softens!

    fun easy way to put the butter on is have the butter hard and use a cheese grater and it grades a nice layer over the whole top of the dump cake better than those little chunks cuz sometimes you leave dry powder left not always but try grading it it's awesome
