Finally getting this line lock video out! Developed a clunk in the rear suspension which cut the burnout short, but I think I know what the issue is. Other than that, they system works, but I will get a longer burnout video out soon once the clunk is taken care of to prove its good to go. Thanks for watching! GTO update. Sorry, been MIA

Sorry guys, been working a lot and took a little vacation to Nashville/Kentucky. Cars are expensive and Billy Ray needs to work that OT to pay for them parts. SHOULD have the line lock video out in the next day or 2 and hopefully an action video of the car doing all the fun stuff it can do in 2 weeks or so. Just one sub away from hitting 200! Taking the GTO for a ride and giving a status of the car after a little over 200 miles of driving it. So far so good on everything. Brakes is still the brakes unfortunately. Hopefully they will be resolved very soon. Gotta get the TECH 2 scan tool back for the automated bleed. Also updates on what's coming up in the next few weeks. Thanks for watching! GTO intake upgrades (if you can even call it that)
Переглядів 4234 місяці тому
Doing some modifications to the GTO's intake in this one. If you saw the dyno/tuning video, you saw that the Mass Air Flow sensor was deleted out of the cars tuning. So that being said, a trip to the hardware store and car parts store and about $25 later, we have our new intake set up. Thanks for watching everyone! They stiffen up the chassis, body flex is all but eliminated. Good for racing applications, but not daily use. Definitely good jacking point if you do alot of maintenance. Also lowers ground clearance between the wheels. Could be a con if you see big speed bumps

@@Billy_Ray_Garage I hear you and don't blame you. Sometimes I research the Holden Monaro as well and there are digital Service manuals online too. But, if available, it's just good for me to see it before I touch it. So to speak. Otherwise, I'm trying to dive in as much as possible. Because Mechanics are expensive and sometimes they just don't know what they are doing. Then it's potentially DYI anyway as I had to do to fix my Pedders suspension installation. Fun times. That said, I feel you on the probably not done building aspect. And even though I'll probably keep mine close to stock, there are still things I want to do even though it's running pretty good for the most part. Hi ya Pal. Ive messaged you plenty, as i follow you go help me learn about my own car. Im in New Zealand, and have a HSV VY clubsport manual sedan. Its the four door version of your manaro. Parts are readily available, aspecally here in NZ, and Ozzy. That epuld be my suggestion. Instead of looking for GTO parts, look for, VY/VZ Commodore parts. Your front body shape is off of the VX commodore. But yes, Commodore, Manaro, Clubsport, are the model name's here. Its just knowing what to look for as names have been changed at different country of sale. Ebay has done me wonder's. And forums online. Keep up your great work. Im about to, next couple of months drop both sub frame, for all the bushings and mounts, shocks ect. Mines a 04, woth 240 thou Km's on it. And its still all original. So its well worth a birthday. Engine wise. Hoping at the end of the year/Following new year period to pull the motor, 383 stroke kit rebuild, and clean up the gear box. I do have shift issues when cold, almost like im not getting enough travel. Throw out might need shimming. Basically, if i push pedal to carpet its difficult to select 2nd. If i force pedal against the firewall, no problems. Could also be synchros. Have driving it like that for 12 years now. Its a reliable daily driver for me. And shes basically my child, i love her so much, best car ive ever owned.

I'm sure there is away of getting a temporary tourists registration for a visiting car. I'm not completely sure, but it's a nice dream to have and to work towards. That's awesome! You get to drive it yet and test it out? The headers suck to install but definitely worth it! I have nothing in the way of adding power on the way. I want to strengthen it though. The plan is all new rear(gforce), bigger brakes, wheels and t56 magnum trans. Should see that or part of that in the winter/spring

@@Billy_Ray_Garage Tell me about it. Didn't think brakes were that complicated, but lately I've been learning a lot. Not to mention, how some mechanics don't know everything and can fix a Wheel Bearing issue "thinking" it's causing a Brake issue. At least, hopefully, that's the excuse. People underestimate how important skilled Blue Collar Workers are and the EVs wont fix this issue. More than likely, it'll make it worse for the average person.
