I remember once I jumped out from a bus, (the bus just started it was not that fast tho) and the 2secs that I was in the air I knew I was doomed ,gave up on newton's laws and just accepted the fall luckily nothing happened except for a broken watch.

Standing straight not bending his knees and not wearing protection is the problem always wear protection, and when you’re skateboarding, you cannot stand straight you have to bend your knees

This happened to me when I was about 7 or 6, I was riding my dads up and down the road and I saw a car coming, I stressed and didn’t know if I could stop in time so I jumped while at full speed and skid across the road, large chunks of my skin got grazed off and I never did that again 🥲 turn out the car wasn’t even coming my way 😭😭😭

Thank you for the tips and I'm going to practice planting that back foot and turning more sideways. I used to speed skate on quads in the early 80's, so I can roller, ice and inline skate okay, but the stance is so different. I'm having trouble being comfortable going sideways if you know what I mean. I want to stand with my front foot facing forward, like I'm at the start line! I'm tense; all my weight feels like it's on my front thigh because maybe I'm planting all my weight on that foot. I've got to get more sideways and figure out how to shift my weight correctly. I love these quick videos and how you're teaching these core riding skills. Thank you.
