Hi my name is Stu. I started scuba diving in 2006 and instantly became passionate about my hobby .In 2011 I bought my first underwater camera and joined the UA-cam community. I'm an underwater thrill seeker and love to explore the watery realms . Follow my adventures under the sea and see what I've been doing near home and around the world on my travels. On my channel you will find my edited videos of my dives some good, some not so good but they're ever evolving as i get better at shooting, cutting and editing. Enjoy. Dive site at the Farne Islands, Northern Wamses

A reef called the Wamses. We explored this one due to wind and sea direction. Normally a plain and baron site this time it was full of juvenile life.
Northern Hares. Dive site at the Farne Islands

A look at Northern Hares a diving location at the northern most tip of Longstone island. A large swell dictated the location as we had to stay in the lee of the island
knifestone Reef the shipwreck graveyard
Переглядів 14921 день тому
Kifestone or knavestone as it used to be called is a reef that lies just below the surface on a high tide, making it treacherous for shipping. In the old days many a ship was scuppered by these rocks but thanks to modern GPS it's not so much of an issue.

A scuba dive on the steam ship Abyssinia. A German cargo vessel that sank in 1921 at the Farne islands just off the North East coast of England.
Diving with seals #farneislands

A seal encounter at Knifestone reef. Huge tides on this dive meant the water was cloudy. We had to try to get very close to the seals.
Scuba diving Weasel Loch , Eyemouth, Scotland.
Переглядів 202Місяць тому
On a recent trip to Eyemouth in Scotland, this was the second dive site of the day. The waters in the relative shallows were milky but were brimming with juvenile fish.
Black Carr Rocks. Dive site near Eyemouth and St Abbs.

A scenic dive at Black Carr . We swam over endless fields of dead men's fingers looking at Pollock and Codling, Lobster and Crabs. Going through gullies and flying over cliff edges.

Amazing

Absolutely fantastic video
@branchsnapper2228 Hope get a video with clear water. It makes a huge difference.
Cool video!
Talking geordie underwater stu !
Very good video. You can't really see the extent of the damage from the shoreline. You are lucky to have a boat. As for me I took some photos with my drone some time ago to show my friends and family. I hope the repairs will be done as soon as possible.
Is this site “The Alternatives” looks like where I went early this year?
No idea it was 3 underwater pinnacles. Didn't put the name in the logbook. But it was 23m max for 53 mins
@@smclarendiver def sound like it. Lovely relaxing dove, lots of life, couple stingrays. I’ll try and find my vid and load up. Good videos 👏. I returned to diving after about 20 year gap, sold kit 8 years ago now just brought a load. Now skint. I’m Dover so most UK diving was off there but now only going to do likely inland check dives, bit of Stoney and Red Sea, corfu and Malta / Gozo
Never been down your way ,yet! Got some good new videos coming up. Hope to earn your subscription. Cheers
Hi, looking at doing the “Gorm” later this year with Eagle Divers (Sharm) was this the early start? Was you on nitrox or air, what sort of time did you get? Many thanks 🙏
Hi, I've only ever done it from a liveaboard. We usually dive it early in the morning before the day boats get there. I do know it's an early start from the port in Naama to get out to the Gorm and a late return . I can't quiet remember but I think it's a 6am until 6pm thing .As for bottom time unless your on the seabed you'll probably be in the ship or on the deck giving you a dive of around 35 to 60mins depending on dive plan. I can say that one visit isn't enough. I've done it six times now and still get blown away. The deck on the port side was starting to collapse the last time I was there. Enjoy and thanks for watching.
Nitrox for more time
Mint video Mac, really informative 👍
I think there is one spot left on the upcoming smb deployment course at the DC
Best let Craig know. Lol
Thanks for watching
USED TO DIVE THE SOMALIA A LOT, LATE 80'S EARLY 90'S, WHEN SHE COULD BE RECOGNISED AS A WRECK, THROUGH TO THE END OF THE LATE 90'S, ON A WEEKEND YOU NEEDED TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON THE WRECK, THE AMOUT OF BOATS AND DIVERS ON HER... THATS WHEN SHE WAS RATHER DANGEROUS TO GO INSIDE, STARTED TO DETERIORATE, AND COLLAPSING ON HERSELF, BUT NOT AS MUCH AS THIS... EARLY YEARS, EVERY WEEKEND ON EITHER THE FARNES, ABB'S, BEADNALL REEFS, CHANDRIS, OSLOFJORD, EASTER DUNBAR OR OBAN, INNER, OUTTER HEBRIDES... LOTS LEAD SOLDIERS AT ATTENTION, AND IF YOU WHERE REALY LUCKY, A HORSE REARING UP, WITH THE SOLDIER WITH A SWORD, ONLY EVER SEEN 2 OF THOSE... EXCELLENT VIDEO, STAY SAFE, THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES, STILL GOING, DEFINITELY NOT AS MUCH 😂😂
Thanks, there's still lots of stuff to be seen, like various types of bottles, shaving kits, vapour rubs, etc... I've never seen a lead soldier yet!. I heard she was salvaged by some guy with a grab on a boat for a while. The video doesn't show the debris field either or the spare prop, which is still there. I couldn't film it all in one slack water dive. Next time!
Great video. I never got to dive on he Somalia when I dived up there a good few years ago. Plenty of dives got blown out when I went unfortunately! Looks like I missed a good dive and you had great viz.
Hello, I'd like some advice please~~ How good do you need to be with the buoyancy control? I'm considering this dive but not sure if I'm good enough 🙈 I do have level 1 and have dived more than the minimum dives, but have never done any wrecks.
Hi, buoyancy is important in all diving. If you have the basics down you'll be fine. It's an easy dive and perfect for your first wreck. The guides will keep you right so don't worry. Go and enjoy it.
😅😅😅
Great vid cap
Nice vid Mac, looks mint it has to be said
@JerGoes Thanks mate. Forever evolving. Got some good ship wrecks coming up.
Will you post another video from our dive in Fokia Bay Rhodes? I'm curious about the shots you've taken from me 😜🤿
@SemJansen1998 it's coming in a few day's
@@smclarendiver looking forward to it! I hope you enjoyed your dives/time here! 🙏🏽
@SemJansen1998 Yes , Sem. Pefkos was great ,and all my time under water is a pleasure. Thanks 👌
Voice over Stu had made an appearance... Love it.
I need to invest in a microphone.
I could hear the click in but it still sounded good. You can get some good quality condenser Mic's fairly cheap these days. If your recording voice on the fly, you can get the mini mic's. I imagine your adding voice as your editing so a good condenser would probably be your best bet.
Great video stu 👍
First time I’ve seen any fish today, there was loads, one big carp just swimming along below me almost arms reach. 😮
There are some huge pike too.

Me and my fear of jelly fish looking at thousand of jellyfish videos juste to scare the shit out of me and make me more disgusted about these things :
If it helps, some of them are really pretty, with the bonus that some of them are not bery harmful, like the moon jellys.
You see many cod off beadnell?
The odd one. It tends to be pollock in the kelpy shallows.
I've been told that there's a Facebook page for the Roker dolphins.
wow
Great vid!. I dived it first over 30 years ago with my wife, we had never dived it with it being called "Whirl Rocks" and it was considered too iffy, plus we could only dive to marks as there was no electronic nav stuff, we dropped in the back of knife stone and landed in a kelp forest but ahead there seemed to be blue water ahead I looked back and my wife was hanging on a strand of kelp her weight belt had slipped off, I turned around and refitted it for her mumbling under my breath, we came to the actual Whirl rock and it seemed to go down forever, we looked at each other and signaled to go down, and the rest is history my most long for and memorable dive.
Glad you liked it but there are much more recent videos . I was there a couple of months back. ua-cam.com/video/D8eFpe7z5sQ/v-deo.htmlsi=aEaHLpJszHkXhI2l

Everybody says it had "Lead Soldiers) but I am sure they were boxes of silver bars, every port had spies around docks as ships were loaded and if they were struggling to load wooden boxes of heavy silver bars and if they were asked what was in the boxes they might have said off the cuff oh they are lead soldiers, my mate years ago did a spec dive off Beadnel the same distance off as Somalia is now, came across a load of what he thought was lead ingots, silver goes black underwater? a mile or so off the wreck where it blew up. P'S I have dived Somalia for over 35 years, Trust me I'm a diver😁
