One of our favorite people at Torco Oil . Jim is a legend for sure.
This is the only engine that should exist and the whole world would be so much better off?
What ever happened with this project?
The repair is on hold, initially to verify the composition of the aluminum used so it can be repaired properly. One they get put aside these things tend to collect dust.
@@bluedog373 thank you.
As I have posted, before there is a special place in heaven for the people who save and /or restore these old race cars. Love the roadsters
Poor song selection. Try "Little Deuce Coop"
Gorgeous 🎉
When removing the top would it not be possible to replace the filler screw with a longer bolt to Jack up the top?
Not sure there is anything to push against. Bolt threads are most likely Whitworth.
Yes if you fit a 2ins hex screw the end of the thread would push against the actuator lever fitted to the cross shaft just and idea
Will u continue the hood fitment. If you could include the hold down latches,
In our project the hood latches were already installed on the hood. We only had to mount the receiving brackets on the frame. The process was the have the front center clamp at the radiator aready installed but left loose. This would be very difficult to install after the rad was in place. The hood center was placed under this clamp and the rear center clamp was installed after everything was lined up as it required two wood screws. Hope tha helps.

Congratulations! You did an amazing job considering the heap of junk you started with!
Thank you and thanks for watching. We had no idea what an MG TC was until we started, having never seen one before.
@@bluedog373 Just to let you know that I own a 1949 TC, actually built on the very last day of their production run. So following your tedious journey raised my understanding of the car´s anatomy. Well done!
1971 Matich A50 F5000, chassis no.001/002, powered by a Repco-prepared Holden V-8. On it's debut in the hands of creator, Frank Matich, it won the 1971 Australian Grand Prix at Warwick Farm by more than a minute over it's nearest rival.
Nice 1939 Ford
Looks good.. getting ready to drop one in my 54 merc
Hope the snake oil works.I need to do my entire truck
Beautiful car.
Is it scene or science?

QUE BELLEZA ❤❤❤❤
That is a Square Tire! Nice work in getting her on the road, a great accomplishment.
Very happy to see this milestone! The culmination of many painstaking hours and mini-successes. Terrific!
I’ll have to use this idea when I pull the engine out of my truck this weekend
I have a TC basket case in about the same condition as yours when you started. Last on the road in 1961. Your videos are great and will be invaluable in the reassembly process. Thank you.
Good luck on your project. Thanks for watching.
Similar story and thoughts, here! Dad's TC was torn down for a 'refresh' in 1966 and is still in the garage, waiting for the day...
Can I have a kiss 💋 😘
😍 stunning
Beautiful car, man.
Before putting the rota arm on you should add 2 drips of oil on top of the screw is a good idea as it lubricates the shaft bearing
I’ve just done this on my TC it’s not an easy job but if you start fitting the tyre for the last side after fitting the tube is work from the side away from the valve that way you can get the bead into the well of the wheel and the final section can be levered over the wheel right by the valve job done
A terrific milestone!
Nice work Bob, you did a great job. I especially like that you did not OVER restore the TC. You built a really nice runner. I have the same idea with my TC which is way behind yours. We are trying to get it back to fairly original in that we are painting it black as it left the factory. When we got it, all apart and in boxes it was OEW. All TCs through about number 5000 were black but most repaint then anything but. You rarely see that. You still have a few jobs to do like mending the speedometer. Omitting the bumpers is a good idea, and I don't really think they are TC bumpers anyway. The ones I have seen are flatter without the curls at the ends.
Believe it or not we spend a rather large sum to have the speedo redone. Might be a glitch in the cable. Thanks for watching. Next excursion is a lap on the main road.
Nice to see it out in the sun
My goodness! So good to see Fuddy Duddy again. That name was a household term for years after we saw it at an airshow in Geneseo New York a few decades ago. The time frame is memorable for us because after the airshow we smoked the clutch in our 1987 Dodge Caravan 5-speed trying to get out of the soggy overcrowded field where we were parked. Seems like we also saw a "new" F-117 stealth fighter fly overhead too. Long time ago!
Thank you for watching. The museum is at John Wayne Orange County Airport.
I think in future any war museum will be hated once people know all wars were planned and profitable by banks and elites. Its sickening how many die in famouse war machines. Wake up people
Where are you finding parts and seals? My 50 Merc leaks like crazy and I can’t find bearings and seals anywhere.
I got parts from Mac's and Shoebox Central
Still following. Making progress.
Thanks for sticking around. Almost ready to drivr.
When the Offenhausers were forced out so was I. I never watched the Indy again, ever!!!. So sad
Happy Birthday !! Dad. A great crowd of friends and family.

Very nice, I love those old "Whale motors"
Four cylinder Offy's with pistons as big as a Quaker Oats container.
Danke
Fantastic content! Enhancing your SEO could help your channel rank higher and attract more viewers. I'd be happy to offer my expertise.
Thanks for this starter motor tutorial. When we get to this part of our project we'll know exactly what to do if things don't work right. Well done.
Be sure to check your brushes. Mark the band so it goes back on in the same place. If I was going to do it again, i would put the starter cable on the RH side of the dash and the fast idle & mixture cables of the left. That would give the starter cable a straight shot at the starter. Dunno why its all the way on the left.
Do you still have that polymer 80 at 15 you built just wanna know if it held up I recently built one my self
It did hold up well, but sadly was lost in a fishing incident.
Hey, that was my chair.

I searched for this on Saturday with no luck. Was there Sat coverage??
I posted a few clips from the track, but focused on the burnout pad. Got home so late couldn't see straight or edit anything. Still have some footage i haven't posted of alcohol cars.
