As a beginner artist myself, I get this mentality of people(they actually might be correct in some places, AI is really helpful but as of now there's no comparison between real artists and AI) the fact the artists don't give you a result with a 2 headed human or a person with 8 fingers or texts with no meaning. You won't get to see all these unique original art syles and uncountable efforts in AI art. I had a school project a few months back for which I needed an urgent logo art but after seeing AI results I ended up with drawing that myself- Sorry for the long comment but Talking about this particular art you made in the video, I just can't stop praising this it's PERFECT! You are really talented and underrated too. Definitely subbing you rn

This tutorial is nice. I know it’s over a year old but something I notice people tend to forget when they’re making digital art tutorial videos is mention what layer they’re working on, and why. You frequently change layers in this video without calling attention to it which subconsciously suggests to beginners that layer awareness is not important. Take a look at James Julier’s procreate videos; he is extremely clear about narrating every action he takes regardless of how minor or repetitive it is. Whenever he returns to a brush he reminds us of the size, and also what layer we’re working on. It is a very helpful aspect of online education to repeat seemingly obvious information. Anyway, thanks for making this video. I picked up your brushes because I like some of the changes you made to the textures.

Amazing work as always! It would be great if you could write a recap of all the steps, or maybe timestamp the steps on the video itself. Like step 1 - roughly painting the background, step 2 - sketching out the buildings, step 3 - duplicating all layers, step 4 - coloring and using clipping masks... etc. My problem with digital drawing is handling the layers, specifically which parts I put on which layer. Coming from the pen and paper world, I thought digital drawing would be easy-peasy, easy to erase and refine, but it's really not that straightforward! I often end up with elements in one layer that should be separated, what a pain :-/

How can we pay for a class on such learning?!

I have so many questions! This was crazy 🎉. Where did you get such skill? I think my biggest question would have been the effect of the final size of the last image. Us nerds don’t care how long a tutorial is. We just want to learn. This was remarkable. Congrats.
