There is no excuse for this to be so hard to do in the game. Another one of the million half baked things lazy developers did in this game.

What I did was loaded it up into a cargo jet by a miracle then dive bomb into the lake by that garage hope and pray the boat won’t explode and squeeze my way out of the wreckage and finally get it into the garage (I managed to do this first try by luck) wish you luck ✈️☘️ ps: if you have the dlc just use the mech gravity grab its *WAY EASIER*

This is easily the most frustrating part in Just Cause 3. took me well over 10 tries but I finally got it. Hint for everyone else: ascend & move forward very slow & steady. I recommend using a controller with two analog triggers to control the speed of the ascent. With keyboard it's pretty much impossible.

This method doesnt work in PC. BC in PC it's possible to manage only 2 ropes on items.

if you have the dlc, you just pick it up with the mech and drive with it to the garage.

Guter tipp, nur nicht für mich. geht halt auch nur mit vollen haken upgrades und dem heli.... :D hab beides nicht, habe es dafür mit dem cargo Flugzeug geschafft. noch nicht einmal die bäume umgeholzt, da es schon mein 5ter versuch war und keine lust mehr dazu hatte. Hab einfach den wald mit dem dingen gemäht. xD in der nähe war auch eine schön große fläche, ohne hindernisse zum landen, direkt am strand. Was man nicht alles macht um alle fahrzeuge in der garage zu haben. 🙄

Thanks for the share... definitely helped me with it. But I found the boat at another location which I also thought is easier and has a shorter route. I'll share it just in case someone else is still playing this game XD It's at Litore Torto (Top right hand of the map, fast travel to sea race named Regata Laco) Boat coordinates are N 40 47.082 E 5 45.531. I used the helicopter trick and brought the boat just right of the island and landed in the sea. You can easily drive the boat down to(Costa Sud which is just below Litore Torto) Perla Est's boat garage. I think the trick is to get the distance between the boat and the helicopter as close as you can, so that the sway will not be as much and as most of them mentioned, do it slowly. Set your way point and try to have your helicopter facing that direction when you are taking off so that all you have to do is keep flying straight. I tried for quite awhile before I finally got it too. I used the cargo plane, nash horn and even just tethering it down the road, you know what happened XD Good luck!

get a good pc and play on that. consoles are not worth it. you can also use xbox and ps4 controller on pc version if you don't like mouse and keyboard controls

I was trying to do this using keyboard&mouse and my tethers broke every freaking time. Finally I tried it with with a gamepad to slowly ascend and then descend to the bay and it worked on a first try! Use something analog if you can, it worked out for me.
