Ok you put poles to support the house when you remove all the dirt. But if you dig 3’ 5’ feet under the block an footing The wall dirt is going to fall down . And the block wall that supports the house. This is on the beginning of removing all the dirt from the crawl space

Crash course on footer installation in depth would be dope, I have about 16” I’d like to dig to increase an existing ceiling height to joists, I’d like to do an angle off the existing wall would it be wiser to dig the existing footer out and drop it down there?

Id only do this if you plan on renting out the bottom portion and really like where you live and you dont want to move. But thats a pain within itself living on the same property as your tenants.

So I have two questions. I know they spray a black moisture barrier on the outside of the foundation. How do you guys do that if you don’t dig the outside out? Or is that something you need to do? Second question would be, if you’re kinda piecing the new footings together, wouldn’t it allow moisture through the parts that join? Just curious and thank you for the animation. Very well done

$310/sq ft is insane! I bought a used single-wide trailer and 40 acres in North Dakota in the late seventies for $310! It’s 80 miles to my nearest neighbor, but still.
