The only thing this test achieved is that the fan is on! What happens when there is an actual train, on fire, within that tunnel? What happens when the fire breaks out of the carriages and impinges on the ceiling? Has anyone heard of the throttling effect? How about buoyancy effect? What happens when all this occurs within the portion of the tunnel that has an incline? As engineers, we need to challenge the worst case to satisfy ourselves that system will function as designed!
for this they have dual rotating fan (which can also rotate in reverse with same speed )resulting setting off fire with that fan and theyy may have any other extinguishing machine which may help with it
Where is it? What was the longitudnal ventilation velocity of the jet fan used in it ? where there any ventilation ducts used in this and where were they placed in the tunnel (ceiling or the side walls ). Thanks in advance.
