From the description of this video: "I mention raw samples and their use cases at 11:55 and further correct and clarify that at 36:45 " In regards of deriving from you, you were licensed the song as a licensee, you were not sold the sound as is the very first sentence in section 3.1.1 if the terms of use. So the changed sound, as owned by splice but reimagined and still licensed to you, are then granted the permission to sublicense the sound to someone else in a remix, for video games for literally whatever commercial use. As I stated, you cannot just transfer the raw sound to someone to construct a song for you (this would be described as transferable rights VS the non-transferable rights term they used to prohibit this. The prohibited uses then defined in section 3.1.1.3). You must be owner of the new recording containing a sound that you also own the license to. TL;DR If you make a recording sound different, you altered a waveform or recording that still has an origin belonging to someone else. Which is why it is derived from you, not owned by you, even if you made it sound different. UNLESS, you were transferred the rights, then you would own it, but then you'd lose access to a free legal dispute team which is kind of an L in terms of sampling.
