If you download this stock image from the Carbide Create Library you cannot v carve the image cleanly. First you must get rid of the leaf stem from the leaf vein vector. The offsetting to create more detail was a great tip! I just used to that to great effect in some leaf detail from an image trace. I'm using an old free version of Carbide Create that can still output Gcode, a quick tip that works in 652 is once you have the offset, it's automatically selected, so you can copy/move it to the side, and then easily be able to select and delete all of the old vectors.
I get hesitant these days to update lol. I'll surely download a new one and update some of these videos. I'm glad to of helped at all.. Feel free to submit any issues your having and I'll post a video workaround asap.
ctrl C does nothing on mine. So frustrating. Wont copy or reproduce anything. Do you need to move cursor, paste or what?
I'll look into it today. I've been avoiding an update on my end. What version software are you running so I can make sure we are on the same one
Did you try using Cntrl V to paste it? Cntrl C works on my end to copy even on the new update.

I actually hit a road block when I try to delete one node in carbide create pro it deletes the whole image, is that a bug?
@@colincallaway1287 you should be holding ctrl/shift while selecting nodes in node edit mode, and to delete right click highlighted node and select delete, right click anywhere to add node.

I don't, I have done the Harley Davidson Sign, But I in-layed the text, So I did a pocket cut. But setting it up for v carve should be easy enough.

I'm new at this so forgive my stupidity. Looks like at 4:05 you did something that told the machine to cut outside the text instead of inside. Can you explain that step please. All my simulations are showing cutting inside the text. Thanks.
It's a pocket cut, if you watch the beginning of the video at maybe 15 seconds I go over adding the outside rectangle. This is a crucial step to be able to pocket around the Text Vectors. If we don't add this box around our work area our pocket operation will cut the inside of the letters. At around 3:50 I select the outside box and the text to make the pocket operation
