Why am I only seeing this now, love a bit of Jonathan Creek chitchat!!!
Can't agree with you more about Peril at End House. It's disappointing in that you can't return to it and be excited about the unfolding of the plot. Same opinion for Mysterious Affair at Styles.
As a longtime fan of David Langton, I found your podcast very interesting. Thank you very much.
Thanks a lot, that's great to hear!

I like the shot where they enter through the the Whirl of Time and zoom out of the pupil of Alex's right eye as looks at you
I'm not sure that it is entirely fair to describe Esteban's use of the Condor as mass murder. I admit I could be mistaken, as it has been some time since I last watched the show, but it seems to me that all of the instances you are referencing were battles in which he was defending innocent people from aggressors. Esteban witnessed the utter brutality of the Spaniards towards the Inca people, and the enslavement of humans by the Olmec's, who seemed to be trying to actually change the world in such a way that humans would not be able to survive at all. In every instance where there is no immediate threat, Esteban always chooses life. In a way, I think it is extremely accurate historically to the mindset of the time. A young boy would have been taught that proper behavior was to value life, help others, but also to fight bravely and without compunction when threatened. Mendoza in this respect is a very good role model for the children. I agree entirely that it was a great move by the show creators to have the children grow and mature as the story continues. One of my favourite moments was when Esteban finally gets the better of Mendoza, saving his life and having his part of the sun medallion restored. In fact that is actually why I find it impossible to get into the new series, since it continues the original story, but seems to have removed all of the development. They are basically completely different characters, and it hurts to watch.
I use the term "mass murder" in a somewhat tongue-in-cheek way there, and I think what you say about Esteban's reasons for using the Condor to attack the Spaniards and the Olmecs, and for saving the Doctor and Marinche, tallies exactly with what I'm trying to say on the commentary, so really we are in agreement. I'm glad to know that about the sequel as it is pretty much the conclusion I have drawn from reading about it and watching clips.
wow, i just found this podcast and its really good! keep it up!!!
Thanks.
I was never a fan of this. Take it or leave it series.
The Look & Read I remembered watching in school was The Legend of the Lost Keys. As you said at the start I liked it because it was basically a glorified skive. I remember the songs more than anything.
Shut up
There was also Crazy Cottage, Get Wet and Jungle Run in the 1990s as well. and Rescue Robots in 2003, which had an incomplete run.

This podcast is great

would love some more episodes of timebusters uploaded- such a good series & quite scary when the time bandits are chasing you 😃😃
so would I. been searching for years..
I looked up this episode because I read that Dionne Quan did the voice of Ishi! She also did the voices of Kimi in Rugrats and Trixie Tang in Fairly OddParents!
Cool podcast! This show is very obscure, so it is good to hear someone talk about it!
Thanks very much!
Haha, I made a terrible attempt at the railway viaduct as well!
They should have had all of Season 2 focus just on Alex without his parents.
I remember watching Blazing Dragons back in the 90's when I was a kid and I really do enjoy this series about Dragons as knights,my favourite characters are Flicker and Princess Flame because they're both brave and smart than the other dragons. I really wished the series is on complete DVD to relive my childhood memories.
I'm curious to know about the old series of Gladiators like is Wolf a violent, arrogant and a jerk that gets angry all the time in each series or is this whole thing just acting and pretending to amuse the audience?
I can understand why the Ice Warriors series were unsuccessful and couldn't compare with the Gladiators series as it's hard to do the challenge on ice.
😍😍😍😍 love the tundercats
Same here 🤗 I admit I had a crush on Lion-o
Agreed
Thankyou for passing episode 1-6 of series 2 to a fellow UA-camr you have no idea how long I’ve been searching
What’s the spell Alex says while using Manacles of osiris?
I have no idea how they are supposed to be spelt, but phonetically the manacle incantations are "woodjai seenahabeck" (telekinesis) and "sheemeen rapidoo" (jump great distances).
Also, Mike Young also created SuperTed before he made Fantastic Max.
he's sharp he's cool HE RIDES ON A MULE it's Albert the Fifth Musketeer
Cute little treat. Cheers yourself.
And cheers to you too!

I remember seeing Albert the Fifth Musketeers on CBBC when I was 5 or 7 years old and I do enjoyed the show. It would be nice to see it again if the entire series is finally released onto Complete DVD at last. Maybe Pidax Animation could make my wish happen since it has been broadcast in Germany🤞.
Can we just appreciate that Jonathan tried to fight off a venomous snake, with nothing more than a spear no less? Say what you will, but that man has got some hangers on him.
Definitely sounds like one of Jonathan's "momints" to me!
Well, at least someone else loves this show! Hey quick quest, who is your favorite character? Mine is Weasler, I feel like he would have had a redemption arc had the show not have been cancelled. Remember the episode "The enemy of my enemy"? When Rick was hoisting himself back onto the boat, Colin ran right over to help him, with no hesitation whatsoever. Also, the phrase "Jonathan pulled a Jonathan"... Can I use that sometime? It made me laugh more than I should.
Thanks very much for your comment, it's really great to know when someone gets something out of these commentaries. My favourite character is Alex O'Connell, I've been in love with him for years as you can probably tell. On my commentary for the second season episode "The Cold", I point out a possible missed opportunity for Colin to get some redemption (by no means the only missed opportunity in that episode!) and I would certainly have liked to see it explored in some way. I would consider the use of any of my phrases a great compliment.
Surprised one of the hard games wasn't the game (I forget which series) with a spirit level block, you had to move it from one point of the room to the other all while holding it steady. That game was way too tough. It was in the Future Zone.
This Show Is Better Then The Movies
I definitely agree!
Great discussion! I’ll over-look the slight towards American accents, but considering your own uh, cartoonish accents, maybe you should keep those opinions on the down-low...but I liked your thoroughness and respect for this great show in your video.
Thanks for your appreciation of what we were trying to get across here. I don't think it's right to say we were slighting American accents, but rather repeating the point from the DVD documentary that the Canadian accent was chosen to provide a middle-ground for both UK and US viewers.
I want to se the season 1 games and 2 games
As a fan of Incredible Games I loved listening to this! I remember some of the episodes of series 2 and I wish I could find them online anywhere! Also yes, Gary Parker was much better as the lift! :D
Hey, thanks for your comment and we're really glad you enjoyed our podcast!
You should know that the wiki has been trashed with all sorts of fanon and OC crap recently so I wouldn't use it as a trustworthy source (after all it IS a wiki). Oh and the pilot is called 'The Dream Thief', just search the show and it should come up. You guys are interesting debaters, but you should relax your voices a bit. Sometimes it sounds like you're trying too hard to put on a posh accent. I think the main problem with both The Dreamstone and Bimble's Bucket is that the writers didn't really seem to have much passion for hero characters. Or villain characters really. They liked their underlings, these cynical, downtrodden middle men who were looking out for themselves and had to do all the grunt work of the 'epic battle between good and evil'. I think they were cynical writers trying to do idealistic storytelling. The same team also made a Snow Queen adaptation with their own Urpney-alikes. Said characters are funny too, but again, boring cutesy heroes, one note underused villain, loads of anti climaxes. Frozen it ain't.
