Tips on managing lifting and sprinting as a powerlifter who wants to change up his cardio routine? Is it possible to do both?
@@Jpriv2567 So that one is a little tough because due to powerlifting being about pure strength the sprints can take away from you being your best and vice verse.
Great vid

Not implemented this way. Contrast training with jumping refers to pre-potentiation by achieving maximal forces with a high or broad jump, resting, and then doing your strength movement. And you don’t keep doing jumps. That’s a good way to build metabolic fatigue and decrease neural drive, doing the exact opposite of what we want.
It’s actually usually done with a heavy resisted movement first for a post activation potentiation effect followed by lighter loaded plyometric movement to generate a higher rate of force development.
The benefits of contrast training with heavy squats and accelerated jumps are numerous. 1️⃣First, it allows you to target both strength and power in the same workout, which can lead to greater gains in muscle size and strength. 2️⃣Second, heavy squats prime your nervous system and activate more muscle fibers, making the accelerated jumps more effective. 3️⃣And third, the explosive nature of the accelerated jumps helps improve your neuromuscular coordination, allowing you to generate more power in all your leg exercises. Tips: You want to have tension in the band in the standing position so that you are also landing with band assistance and not just pure body weight. 🚨Let’s take your training and rehab up a notch‼️ FOLLOW ME for more Performance and Rehab Tips✅
