Multi-species Slam Session w/ GIANT UNEXPECTED CATCH! (Pool 2 Fall Walleye Fishing)
Jordan, Jonas and I set out to chase some mega walters again on Pool 2 this time in some different areas than in the previous video. The cold front that came in has cooled the water temp down by 7 degrees. We catch a total of 7 species and still find fish concentrated on shallow rocky humps, points and steep drop offs. It was windy but still a beautiful night. We used 1/2-3/4 oz jigs with plastic paddle tails and plastic minnows.

The BEST BUILT FISH In MINNESOTA! (Catching Trophy Fish with WORMS)
Переглядів 1997 годин тому
Sometimes you just need to keep it simple. In this video I use either a jig and a worm or slip bobber with a jig and worm to catch some multi-species trophies. Nearly 10" gills, almost 15" crappies, close to 20" bass, and a special bonus fish that I didn't even know was in these waters.
INSANE GIANT WALLEYES on SHALLOW Rocks (Fall POOL 2 Mississippi River Walleyes)

On the heels of the Pool 2 AIM and INO tournaments Jordan and I headed out to see how we would fair given that I couldn't make the tourney. Our best 5 fish ended up at 117" with the tournament rules of rounding up to the nearest 0.25". I know that pool 2 has monsters but this was my fist time experiencing the madness, and let me tell you, it's very real. It makes me want to keep fishing in the ...
SHALLOW WATER BEATDOWN! (LAC SEUL WALLEYES & PIKE)
Переглядів 180Місяць тому
We were faced with 15-25 mph North winds bearing down on us so we explored a new skinny east/west bay. We found the walleyes and pike mixed together in very shallow water. The name of the game this year was finding the warmest bays and you were all but guaranteed to find fish stacked up. For walleyes we were using 1/4 oz jigs with Kalin's jerk minnow jr. and snap jigging it hard and fast was ke...
MILLE LACS GIANT Smallmouth Bass (Dog Days of August Patterns)
Переглядів 3792 місяці тому
Josh and I hit Mille Lacs on August 7th in the middle of a pretty crazy weather pattern. Days before it was in the high 80's and the water was approaching 80 degrees. Then we had a major front come through and a massive amount of rain over the weekend and temp dropped 20 degrees. We found water temps of 72 and a very wet afternoon. The pike and walleyes didn't cooperate for us but the smallies ...
LAC SEUL WALLEYES & PIKE (Mahkwa Lodge 2024)
Переглядів 2422 місяці тому
After spending a day in Sioux Lookout and fishing some new water we head back to Mahkwa Lodge for another 5 more solid days of fishing. Day one was a half day with overcast skies, occasional rain, and cold temps. Fish were again not stacked in there normal locations and we had a harder time finding walleyes in the afternoon. But we did get into some pretty good pike and my dad got an especially...

Similar pedigree to your walleye!
slippery little bugger, huh?
More like strong little bugger and they scare the heck out of me. They actually have a mouth full of pretty serious teeth and they can be super aggressive so I was fearing for my life when he escaped my grip!
Nice white Crappie
Thanks! I was shocked he hit a 3/8 oz jig and 3” paddle tail!
Awesome video Jere!
Thanks Kris!!!
Big Ol' Crappie!
Yes sir!
Congrats on the PB.
It’s sort of a hybrid PB. My heaviest fish was 28.5” and 9.3 lb, this was 28.75” and 8 lb. So much smaller build but technically PB in length.
That's where I've canoe and fished giant Metro man slabs, but it's not even the same😭😭😭😭
Well they were eating 3/8 oz jigs and 3” paddle tails so I’m thinking there are dandy’s!
You guys pound the eyes it would be a dream to get out with you guys im saving up for livescope on my boat and thats gonna be a game changer
The livescope is pretty sweet, not gonna lie!
@@brookinsfishingfor realll
@@colehoppe6973 No need for live scope on the river.. Just a distraction if your fishing P2.
@@joebusch-cg8ri honestly so true! There’s a million fish everywhere you go and most of them are not walleye lol!

Yeet!🎣🔥
Team yeet!
What an absolute perfect day from the weather to the fishing! Remember the Sip always produces! Special thanks to @meuloutdoors1673
The weather was not always perfect like that 😔
Let’s go🔥 the best part is this is just the beginning! This is the start of “when the fish get big and the bite gets good”
I hope that’s true!!!
Lac suel is great, usually head up to mawka twice a year. Lake is incredible especially after you catch 200 fish in a day
Twice a year?!? 200 a day?!? Wow we need to talk. Our best day was 125 between 3 guys grinding so hard for 12 hours. We must be doing something wrong! What months do you typically go? We have been the first week of June last 2 years now.
@@brookinsfishing we never do as well in June July as we do late August. 200 a day is a little higher than we did, it was 186. We fish a lot of deep mid lake structure like mega sand bars. Live scope is changing how I attack that lake now though, I figure the last day I was up I put 80 walleyes in the boat alone
If you wouldn’t mind, shoot me an email so we can discuss in more detail, not in a public comments section. Jeremy.brookins@gmail.com
Nice video!! I’m dropping a sub good content man 🎣
Thanks!!!
@@brookinsfishing Your welcome 😁
Well done Jeremy. Best video yet.
You really think so? What makes you say that?
Good pace. Delivery was well executed.
Webster bay?
Nope. By Deception Bay.
Watched this at least a dozen times. Not sure of it was the music or watching that trophy smoothly swim back home
Thanks Kris! I got that song from my son!
dam that was a nice one
14.7” slab crappie caught on a 3/32 oz jig with a chunk of crawler.
Same problem.
Sound started for me at 5:00
My radio in the boat apparently always connects to my phone via Bluetooth which is why I had no sound. Of course I had no idea and thought everyone could hear me.
It might be my phone, I have no sound
I think what happened was that my phone connected to the radio in my boat via Bluetooth and thus the radio became the speaker which was no where near where I was.
Throws it back? Why not pan fry. You waste thousands on fishing equipment. Just to throw it back and not even take it for food. but then are willing to go to the grocery store to buy processed Meat.
not everyone fishes to eat and kill what they catch. some people just do it for fun and for sport and judging by the TV Screen fish finder he attached to his boat id assume he's doing it for sport. That also doesn't mean they just buy fish from the store. Maybe he just didn't want fish that night? or maybe it wasn't big enough for him?
I love me some crispy crappies. Here are a few things to consider. What if we already had our limit of crappies or the amount we needed to feed our families? What if I didn’t have time to fillet fish that day? What if that wasn’t the size I was targeting? A lot of assumptions you just made.

Are you kidding me?!? That’s crazy!
where did you launch your boat? great video
Hi there! My brother and I are going to Lac Seul Wilderness Resort near Ear Falls. Is this bridge in that area?
Hey David! Actually Ear Falls is on the complete opposite side of Lac Seul. It’s a 3 hour drive to Sioux Lookout.
How tall are you?
5’8”
@@brookinsfishing are your footrests pushed to the furthest possible position? I wonder how I would feel inside in this kayak cuz I am 6’4”
Do you ever use like swim baits or jerk baits or anything to catch smallies other than live bait? I’ve been trying to get into smallmouth fishing but have had a hard time with depths and baits
This was my first time targeting smallies on Mille Lacs but my buddy likes using top water, white jerk baits, and ned rigs for smallies on the rocks. I bet a 1/8 oz jig and paddletail would be deadly as well.
@@brookinsfishing exactly what I use but wasn’t sure about it, thanks for the info
Nice. Hope you can get back soon for a shot at a big pike.
Me too! I’d settle for a big muskie too!
Jeremy! You got got. Nice video.
Loon Rapids Bridge!!!! We've fished that bridge on the way to Sen Bay for 31 years. We're coming up later this fall and I noticed in one of your bridge shots, the flow is going "up" instead of the usual "down". That might mean Lac Seul is higher than normal, but not sure. Anyway, the Arkansas and Alabama groups have caught tons around that bridge. One summer of the big fire about 20 years ago, the DNR and Fire people had that stretch blocked due to fighting forest fires and we had to stop about 1 mile short of the bridge. Great video yall.
Monster walleye
Nice video. Thanks for posting. I especially liked the shore lunch footage.
As always thanks for watching and commenting! More coming next week!
brats on the beach when you have fish? LOL
Heck yeah. When they are jalepeno cheddar venison brats!
@@brookinsfishing no.. eat fish. lol. Brats can be had anytime ..
If slots 21 why you keeping a 22?
You can keep 18” and under, or 21” and over. You have to release 18.1” to 20.9” walleyes. Make sense?
Nice video, when are you going to make another video at slab city? Yeet!
Summers are family time for me! I have probably 6-8 Canada videos to edit and get out still but working like a dog right now and don’t have time. Come fall/winter I should be posting regularly again!
Lac Seul is a magical body of water! Been on pods of fish that produced nothing but 20" and up fish!
Yeah the average size up there is pretty astounding!
Nice video.
Thanks!
Is it a 6 V battery?..
It’s a 12 volt battery.
