Multi-species Slam Session w/ GIANT UNEXPECTED CATCH! (Pool 2 Fall Walleye Fishing)
Jordan, Jonas and I set out to chase some mega walters again on Pool 2 this time in some different areas than in the previous video. The cold front that came in has cooled the water temp down by 7 degrees. We catch a total of 7 species and still find fish concentrated on shallow rocky humps, points and steep drop offs. It was windy but still a beautiful night. We used 1/2-3/4 oz jigs with plastic paddle tails and plastic minnows.

The BEST BUILT FISH In MINNESOTA! (Catching Trophy Fish with WORMS)
Переглядів 1997 годин тому
Sometimes you just need to keep it simple. In this video I use either a jig and a worm or slip bobber with a jig and worm to catch some multi-species trophies. Nearly 10" gills, almost 15" crappies, close to 20" bass, and a special bonus fish that I didn't even know was in these waters.

On the heels of the Pool 2 AIM and INO tournaments Jordan and I headed out to see how we would fair given that I couldn't make the tourney. Our best 5 fish ended up at 117" with the tournament rules of rounding up to the nearest 0.25". I know that pool 2 has monsters but this was my fist time experiencing the madness, and let me tell you, it's very real. It makes me want to keep fishing in the ...
SHALLOW WATER BEATDOWN! (LAC SEUL WALLEYES & PIKE)
Переглядів 180Місяць тому
We were faced with 15-25 mph North winds bearing down on us so we explored a new skinny east/west bay. We found the walleyes and pike mixed together in very shallow water. The name of the game this year was finding the warmest bays and you were all but guaranteed to find fish stacked up. For walleyes we were using 1/4 oz jigs with Kalin's jerk minnow jr. and snap jigging it hard and fast was ke...
MILLE LACS GIANT Smallmouth Bass (Dog Days of August Patterns)

Josh and I hit Mille Lacs on August 7th in the middle of a pretty crazy weather pattern. Days before it was in the high 80's and the water was approaching 80 degrees. Then we had a major front come through and a massive amount of rain over the weekend and temp dropped 20 degrees. We found water temps of 72 and a very wet afternoon. The pike and walleyes didn't cooperate for us but the smallies ...

After spending a day in Sioux Lookout and fishing some new water we head back to Mahkwa Lodge for another 5 more solid days of fishing. Day one was a half day with overcast skies, occasional rain, and cold temps. Fish were again not stacked in there normal locations and we had a harder time finding walleyes in the afternoon. But we did get into some pretty good pike and my dad got an especially...

      Twice a year?!? 200 a day?!? Wow we need to talk. Our best day was 125 between 3 guys grinding so hard for 12 hours. We must be doing something wrong! What months do you typically go? We have been the first week of June last 2 years now.

    • @joejoe556ify
      @joejoe556ify 11 днів тому

      @@brookinsfishing we never do as well in June July as we do late August. 200 a day is a little higher than we did, it was 186. We fish a lot of deep mid lake structure like mega sand bars. Live scope is changing how I attack that lake now though, I figure the last day I was up I put 80 walleyes in the boat alone

      not everyone fishes to eat and kill what they catch. some people just do it for fun and for sport and judging by the TV Screen fish finder he attached to his boat id assume he's doing it for sport. That also doesn't mean they just buy fish from the store. Maybe he just didn't want fish that night? or maybe it wasn't big enough for him?

      I love me some crispy crappies. Here are a few things to consider. What if we already had our limit of crappies or the amount we needed to feed our families? What if I didn’t have time to fillet fish that day? What if that wasn’t the size I was targeting? A lot of assumptions you just made.

    Loon Rapids Bridge!!!! We've fished that bridge on the way to Sen Bay for 31 years. We're coming up later this fall and I noticed in one of your bridge shots, the flow is going "up" instead of the usual "down". That might mean Lac Seul is higher than normal, but not sure. Anyway, the Arkansas and Alabama groups have caught tons around that bridge. One summer of the big fire about 20 years ago, the DNR and Fire people had that stretch blocked due to fighting forest fires and we had to stop about 1 mile short of the bridge. Great video yall.
