I've worked with a bunch of those funeral escort motor officers and most of them are retired law enforcement, as motor officers. They are excellent riders and take good care of their machines. I am sorry that happened to the officer, but happy he is OK. Sorry for the little wildlife critters that could not escape. Hopefully that tree is OK.

Good. Most funeral escorts are poorly trained cop wanna-be''s. I've seen them cut across multiple lanes of heavy freeway rush hour traffic and nearly cause multiple accidents, the complete opposite of how CHP handles these situations.
