A time long ago, when Guernsey harbours used to allow the Historical Diving Society to hold hard hat try dives in St Peter Port harbour. Shame we are missing 2 of the people in this video, including Percy Tippett and Mick Peters. Lost not but forgotten.

Top secret location on private property, please do not try to gain access. A very unusual dive site, being a granite stone quarry now full of seawater, with fish and old cars to look at.

Second dive was on the mysterious Anchor graveyard, over 50 anchors lying in the shape of a ship/ barge but with no records to explain what it is? Third dive on the SS Brisies. Sunk in 1937 and now lying well smashed up in 20m.

What a lovely dive. Thanks for sharing.
Good to see you back Mat. Great video.
Thanks Colin. Few fish on the wreck this time eh.
They are worth a bit of money them Kriegsmarine plates mate. You should of brought it up and declared it. nice dive
Thanks mate. Thought I’d leave it there for someone else to see. 😉
super cool. i literally have no clue anything diving related, how do you guys safely get down there without leaving due to the overwhelming pressure? how do you safely surface
Slow and steady
Going down you equalize the pressure in your ears and coming up you ascend slowly and do deco stops so that the gas in your blood gets out safely.
Great footage! except the builders butt! lol
Thanks mate. Literally can’t take him anywhere 🙄
Great Dive
Easily the best dive we’ve had on the wreck.
great vid
Thanks.
Another great dive. Plenty of pout.
Cheers Colin. Certainly plenty of life on the wreck. Looks like someone has been dragging pots over her, plenty of fresh rust marks everywhere.
Belli questi video inerenti i palombari.
that bottle is so nice! Great find
Thanks mate. Have got quite a collection now.
Good to see you all again, great footage from the insta 360 also!

Just found you're channel an hour ago , you have a new subscriber , all the best.
Welcome to the channel and thanks for the comment.
Cooking time for the scallops please?
Couple of minutes either side. Just enough to get some browning on the outside.
That’s cool your scalloping for a living now 💪🎣 keep the videos going you never know what video mite pop off , your also close to 1000 subs so you can momotize your channel
Thanks mate. Just need that final push to get my subs up.
@@matlemaitre when I get my bigger boat , come scalloping on it 👍 also i need a moring sorted 😂 happy to pay you
I’m happy to go out when you do, give me a shout and we’ll do your mooring.
Morning Mat listening to you at the start of your video with your chat with JP. We know we see what he is doing But we also want to see what your doing. Very interesting video keep them coming please.
Thanks Colin. I’ll try to put a bit more effort in. 😉
That looked absolutely terrifying! and also exciting too, in a claustrophobic kind of way! Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool footage of Percy. Enjoyed watching this thanks
Thanks for the comment Mate. Got so much footage from/ of Percy to work through.
Great to see Micky P. Was that really 30 years ago?
Great find mat. Thanks for the Scallops. Happy new year to you and your family.
Another entertaining video of the Ammo wreck can never get bored watching it. Great forage Mat.
Looks like a fun day out. So glad you got to rediscover the Nord 😊
Thanks for sharing Mat👌
Mine is the same, did you find out the reason?
As long as it’s not more than 2 years old, they’ll change the motor free of charge under warranty
Great dive Mat.
Short and sweet
I see the lighthouse is finished! 👍
So does that mean that RICHARD found that wreck back in 1973? Respect! In particular for still going strong! Apparently the Stella sunk in just 8 minutes (wiki)...
Hi Steven. Yes Richard and Fred Shaw found the wreck.
Richard has done over 45000 dives, the man is a living legend. Really doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
Never been inside the front area. looks like a haunted house with the floor boards missing like that. 😃
Yeah not sure I liked being in there really. Might have to go back in and film the bath etc 😉
Great dive Matt congers lovely creatures. Pouting by the hundreds. A lovers Red mullet. Cuttlefish. A lovely amount of sea life. Great video mate.
Thanks Colin. Great dive, nice to go back to her, when there was so much to see.
Another excellent dive Matt very interesting keep them coming.
Thanks Colin. Good to get some nice diving in for a change.
I love your videos! Never a diver myself, but grown up in local waters.
Thanks Steven. 👍
A job well done.
Captain Keen to the rescue. 😉
Hey Brother ! I wanted to see the ball ! Lol ! Great to see you again ! Thanks ,,,,,
Thanks Mike. I haven’t opened it yet, might do a quick video for it tomorrow. 😉
Great dive Mat good vis really enjoyable to watch.
why no blocks on the derrick and the starboard derrick lashed to the gantry ? bit strange that!!!!!!!!
🤔
@@matlemaitre seems a insurance job to me
@stephenadams9767 I can assure you it was not an insurance job. I was crew on this boat when she sank and it was the most terrifying thing I've experienced so have some consideration before being a keyboard warrior. So many people have fished over it, looks like trawls and foot ropes are wrapped around it but when it sank there was nothing wrapped around the Derrick. The Derricks where out and towing at the time so we couldn't have tied it up if gear out. She's been on the seabed for over 10years now. Think before you assume!! We were lucky to all survive after hours in the life raft waiting but so many don't make it home!
Nice dive, thanks! Perhaps I missed something but do you have more info on the ship, why it sank and where it lies? Im origianlly local but no diver and have no idea.
Thanks for the comment. I’ll try and add some more information on the wreck and the position
I don’t mess with the OCEAN at all !! That’s a whole different world down there….hell no ✌🏼
It’s not a bad place down there, training opens up the underwater world. Been amazing to me over the years. You should do a try dive.
Vis very good Mat. Another very interesting video. I have liked and shared.
Thanks Colin. Appreciated as always.
Another great dive Mat. Vis very good sea like a mirror. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks Colin. Certainly was a great day out.
Great vid. What's in the bag?
Just a crab.
Hey Brother ! Looked like a good case of crabs ! Have you ever seen seahorses in your area ? I'm guessing it's a little too cold , but I'm just curious . Thanks again ,,,,,
Hi Mike. No unfortunately I’ve never seen a seahorse before. Definitely on my hit list though. Thanks.
Lovely dive and a beautiful size Angler fish.
Thanks Colin. Just hope some lazy fisherman doesn’t go catch it now 😉
@@matlemaitre The only way they will get that is if they trawl it up or if another Diver spears it through the head. Lovely fish.
Do they croak under water? Because they do on land when you catch them. They're very good eating fish but when it croaked at me like a frog I couldn't keep it lol it was too cute
I’ve never heard them croak underwater, interesting comment though. Will try filming some more now. 😉
You re beginning to look like Keeny x
Great to see you lifting the veil on CI Dive sites :)
Thanks Martin, hopefully we'll lift the veil on many more sites this summer.
Another excellent dive Mat & Sally. Good vis quite alot of Snot floating around.
Thanks Colin. You should have seen the scallop dive, terrible vis, so the wreck was a massive surprise.
Good to see the next generation of Guernsey Divers - 🙂
